Ryujin X Yeji - Always together

POV | Ryujin

I came back to my dorm after being out with my friends Heejin and Hyunjin and heard screaming and crying. You know I just thought it was the baby next door, that's why I banged on the wall, and yelled, "Shut the fuck up kid!" The mom banged on the wall, "You shut up! He's not even crying!" I blinked, looking around. It's not him...

"Yuna? Chaeryeong? Lia?" I yelled out my roommates' names. I knew Yeji wasn't here since she was spending the night at Minju's. I heard nothing. "Hello?" I was starting to get scared. I heard crying noises from the bathroom. I immediately rushed in, seeing a naked Yeji holding her head and harshly crying in the bathtub where she was almost to the point of drowning. I gasped, turning the water off, and picked the soaking girl up. "Shhh.. shh.. Yeji.." I rubbed her back.

Yeji cried, holding onto my jacket, "I don't wanna be here anymore.." I widened my eyes, "N-no baby.. no.. that's not right. I want you here.." Yeji is suffering from her disease that came back years ago and it causes her to have anxiety, seizures, depression, and suicidal thoughts. All the girls thought it'd be a good thing for Yeji to spend time with Minju. We also thought it could be a break for us. It's hard taking care of Yeji. Especially when you're not used to it since she's the leader.

But she was home and she could've died and there was no one here to save her but me. That sorta struck me. "I love you.." My voice cracked as I teared up and kissed her cheek. "You don't mean that.. no of you do. You all hate me.. you think I'm annoying and a pain in the ass." I closed my eyes, letting tears fall, "N-no Yeji.. I actually love you.. you know they might have different opinions but I love you. I still love you and I will always see you the same way, no matter what disease or anything you have. Please know that.."

Yeji cried, "I love you too..." I rocked her in my arms, never wanting to let go. I can't lose Yeji. As much as I love to tease and play with her, I still could never lose her. I lifted her chin, looking at the tears streaming down her face. I kissed them, nuzzling our heads together like lions, "I can't lose you.." Yeji started coughing and hit my shoulder. I quickly got up, rushing to get water, and made her swallow it. Yeji groaned, "You don't know how hard this is for me Ryujin.. I love you but.. I don't want to be here.."

I sobbed, making her stand up, and hugged her tightly, not caring that the older was naked. "Yeji.. if you leave, then I will be a mess.. don't leave me.. don't leave your girls.." She pulled away, "I'm not happy anymore, this is taking over me, and I'm letting it win." My voice cracked, "Yeji! Stop! Please don't do this to me, I'll help you, I'm right here for you.." Yeji started shaking and fell on me, "Hdsijxkdixuu" She was having a seizure. "Yeji!! Someone! Someone help me!!"

I held her head, crying harshly, "B-baby.." She turned pale and everything turned silent. "Y-Yeji?!!!" I screamed, putting her on the floor, pressing on her chest hard, "Come on! Come on! Don't leave meee!" She wasn't moving at all. I pounded on her chest, holding her tight, "Yeji!!! Wake up!! Wake up!!! Wake up for me..." I decided to give her mouth-to-mouth, trying to save her. I put my finger on her neck, her pulse barely beating.

| Time-Lapse | The next day

I swallowed hard, going into the hospital room, seeing Yeji with the oxygen tube, and other things trying to save her. I held her hand, sitting next to her, just staring at her. I took a shaky breath, "I'm here.." The nurse told me she could possibly hear me so.. I tried talking. Nothing happened. I caressed her hand, "S-somehow you still look pretty with all this stuff on you.." I bit my lip, tears building up in my eyes.

"The girls are at home, they want you there.. along with me.." I felt like I was talking to no one. "I-I just wanted to go by myself, I didn't want them to see you like this.." I stroked her hair, "Keep fighting, I need you to.." I took another shaky breath before landing my lips on her forehead for a soft kiss, "I love you.." Then I don't know if my mind was playing tricks on me but I swear I felt her twirl her finger around mine. I put my head in her neck, just thinking about the past.
