Three Colors of Love
A novel by Patrick Louie Ilagan
(Chapter 1 - My Girl, My Sister, and My Friend)
In life, we'll experience 3 kinds of love - the love for your family, the love for your friends, and the kind of love that you'd want to share with your special someone.
Ako naman, I'm the type of guy na hindi pa fully nakaka-experience ng third kind of love. Nakakaramdam, pero one way nga lang. No girlfriend since birth kasi ako.
Is it just me, or is it because of her - the girl whom I secretly love.
Hi, this is Julian, speaking.
Have you heard of the novel My Girl, My Friend? Ako kasi ang nagsulat nun. In fact, it's a true story which happened in the 1980s. My mom shared it with me. Lahat ng nabasa niyo doon ay totoo. But I just modernized the story and set it to 2007 onwards para maka-relate ang readers.
Now, it's my turn. Buhay ko naman ang susubukan kong isulat.

JULIAN
I'm in a state of bliss today. Masayang-masaya ako dahil for the first time, magkakaroon na ako ng lakas ng loob.
She's wearing this light pink dress which adds detail to her virginal beauty. Lalo lang akong naiinlove sa kanya as she flips her soft and wavy hair.
I grabbed her left hand and kissed it.
"I love you." sincere na pagkasabi ko sa kanya. She smiled. She bit her lips. Mukhang sasagot na siya. She was about to open her mouth to speak when...
"Julian! Julian!" sigaw ng isang malakas na boses.
Tsk, I knew it. It was just a dream; a beautiful dream na natapos lang bigla dahil ginising ako. Ano na naman ba? Inaantok pa 'ko. Saturday na Saturday ngayon. I need some rest, and fantasy.
Ako nga pala si Julian Anthony Ignacio. I'm a 20-year old college student taking up AB Literature in University of Santo Tomas. I'm fair-skinned and tall kahit papaano. I stand 5'9" in height. Sabi nga nila, I have this "babyface" look just like my dad, while my round, dark brown eyes came from my mom.
But, I'm just a simple, boy-next-door type of person. Writer din ako just like my mother.
"Hey, wake up!
"Wake up, buddy! Rise and shine!"
He was very eager to wake me up.
He's already 54 years old, pero he still looks like he's in his forties. Para sa 'kin, he is the coolest stepdad in the whole wide world. He even treats me as his own buddy.
