Callie's POV....
I stood at the door, taking another deep breath. I've never been this nervous, I know I might seem calm and collected, but it's just a front, inside I'm shaking like a leaf. I took one last deep breath and knocked on the door. A few seconds later, the door opened, and I had to stop my jaw from hitting the floor. I've always thought Arizona was beautiful, but the way she looks now is just something else.
"Wow," I smiled, looking her up and down.
"I can say the same thing." she smiled back, making the butterflies flutter in my stomach.
"I'll just grab my jacket and bag," She said before walking away from the door into the room on the left. A few seconds later she reappeared and we got into my car as I said I would drive about 15 minutes later we arrived at the restaurant.
"Hi, I have a booking for Callie."
"Ah yes, right this way," the male waiter smiled, gesturing for us to follow him.
"Here you go, here are your menus, can I get you anything to drink?" I couldn't help not notice he was checking Arizona out, I was starting to get jealous and angry.
"Just a coke for me," she smiles.
"I'll have a glass of rose." With that, he nodded and walked off
"it all sounds so nice," Arizona said, looking through the menu.
"Well, pick whatever you like, I'm paying."
"Callie, I can't let you do that."
"I want to, and plus I asked you out, remember," I beamed at her, causing her to smile.
"Only if you're sure."
"100%" A few minutes later we decided what we was going to have, I gestured for the waiter and he came over.
"What can I get you?" he smiled at Arizona. The jealously inside me rising, I know he is properly just being friendly, but still.
"I'll have the chicken burger, please." She smiled.
"Great choice," he smiled back at her. I was getting really annoyed, I swear I heard a little growl escape my mouth. Luckily, I don't think they heard.
"I'll have the lasagne," I snapped before he had the chance to ask
"erm yeah okay." With that, he walked away.
Once the waiter left with our order, we just sat and talked. Arizona told me about her day and how work went. I could never get fed up with hearing her talk, I could listen to her all day. She told me about this one customer who has come in a few times and has complained every time and its always about stupid stuff, like the drink is to cold, the food isn't right, just pathetic stuff. People like that are so horrible. They only do it to try and get free food. If you want free food, stay at home, it's that simple.
Before we knew it, our food arrived, and I must say it all looked delicious. Luckily, it was a different waiter that brought our food. I couldn't help but smile at Arizona's excitement when her food was placed in front of her.
"What?" she laughed
"Nothing, you're just cute." I smiled, causing her to blush.
We started to eat, and oh my days, this lasagne is amazing, nearly as good as my mums. A few minutes later, the male waiter, who I can't stand, comes over.
"Is everything okay with your food?" he smiled, never taking his eyes off of Arizona. It was making me so annoyed and angry, again I swear another growl escaped my mouth. What is wrong with me.
"yeah its really nice, thank you," she smiled back.
"Baby, can you pass me the salt?" I said before he could say anything, putting emphasis on the word baby, hoping he would get the hint. Arizona looked at me a little, shocked because I had never called her baby before but passed me the salt. He looked at me, and I gave him the dirtiest look possible. The smile disappeared from his face. He told us to enjoy and then walked away. I looked back at Arizona, and she still had a look of shock/surprise on her face.
"What was that?" she asked.
"What was what? I say, trying to act stupid.
"That's what just happened, you growling and then calling me baby, not to mention the dirty look you gave him."
"I'm sorry," I sighed
"he keeps starting at you and checking you out and trying to hit on you, and it's making me jealous." I sigh once again, my food being more interesting than Arizona's face. I was waiting for her to have a go at me or something, but instead, she started laughing, causing me to snap my head up to look at her.
"Oh Callie, you adorable, but honestly you have nothing to worry about, I like you, I'm here with you, I only have eyes for you, so he can flirt and hit on me all he wants but it isn't going to happen and plus he's a guy, I don't do guys" she laughed making me smile and blush with a bit of embarrassment.
"You like me, huh?" I winked at her
"I do,"
"I like you too." We started eating again when suddenly my phone rang. I apologised to Arizona as I picked it out of my pocket, I was ready to answer it until I saw who it was and ended the call. Not tonight.
"You could have answered it," Arizona says
"it wasn't important, properly someone trying to sell me something," I laughed, hoping she had bought it. I hate that I keep stuff from her, but I will tell her. To be honest, I should have told her sooner, but I'm scared of losing her if I do tell her, and I don't ever want to lose Arizona, but it has only been about a week. I want to make sure this is the real deal before I do. It won't matter that I haven't told her yet ...would it?
