We stood there for a few minutes, and I couldn't stop looking at the ring that was now on my ring finger. It's so beautiful

"Do you like it?" Callie asked as she caught me looking at it.

"I absolutely love it." I smiled, leaning in and giving her a kiss. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.

"Who's that?" I ask as I put Sofia down.

"Mark, he's coming for Sofia so we can celebrate," she said, winking at me, making my stomach go all funny. She then walked out of the kitchen to get the door, Sofia closed on her heels.

"So congratulations!" Mark half smiled as I joined them at the door.

"Thank you." I smiled back. I could tell he didn't see that happy about it. He sort of looked a little sad. But who can blame him? His ex-wife is getting married to someone else. That was always going to be hard. Callie moved out the way and let him in before going upstairs with Sofia, leaving me with Mark. We stood there for a few seconds, not saying anything until he broke the silence.

"I am happy for you both," he said.

"I know you are," I smiled back.

"I still love her and always will, and yeah, it hurts, but all I want is for her to be happy. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. You are an amazing step mum to Sofia. We are lucky to have you joining our family. " I didn't know what to say. I just pulled him into a big hug.

"Thank you, Mark." I pulled away, giving him a peck on the cheek, just as Callie and Sofia came down the stairs.

"Everything okay," she asks.

"More then okay," I replied, giving her a little kiss.

"Ready babygirl," Mark asks. She nodded before reaching for a hug. I picked her up and gave her a hug.

"Thank you for tonight," I say. She didn't say anything back. she just gave me a squeeze. I then gave her to Callie, who gave her a kiss and hug, and then her and Mark left. We stood there at the door watching as they drove away. As soon as they where are out view Callie shut the door, locking it, and I didn't waste any time in connecting our lips. After a few seconds, she pulled away and took my hand and pulled me into the living room.

She stopped when we got to the blankets and pillows that were lying on the floor. She sat down, gently pulling me down as well, straight away connecting our lips. The kiss was like nothing I've ever experienced. It wasn't rough or full of need and wanted it to be gentle and slow and full of love. I know I wanted her right here and now. But I didn't just want sex I wanted to show her how much I love her, and I want to make her feel things she's never felt before.

Sometime later...

We laid naked, tangled in the blankets, her head resting on my bare chest.

"I can't believe you are going to be my wife," she said, and I could feel her smile against my skin.

"I can. As soon as I met you, I knew you were the one for me." she sat herself up on her elbow at my words.

"I love you," she said, leaning and kissing me.

"I love you too,"

"I'm hungry, fancy some cake," she smiles

"What is it with you and being hungry straight after sex?" I laugh. She just shrugs her shoulders laughing, then gets up and walks into the kitchen. A few minutes later, she walks back in with cake and water. I couldn't help but laugh.

The next day...

I opened my eyes, and it took a few seconds to remember where I was. I rolled over, expecting to see Callie next to me to say she wasn't there. As I moved the cover off me, I saw the ring on my finger, and I couldn't contain the smile that plastered all over my face. Just as I was about to get up off the floor, Callie walked in with a tray of food and coffee. She only had an oversized top on, and she looks so sexy. I couldn't help but bite my lip a little.

"Morning," she chuckled.

"Morning," she passed me the tray and sat next to me. She then reached behind on the sofa and passed me a top.

"Thanks." I smiled as I put it on.

"Guess what?" she said, taking a sip of her coffee.

"What?"

"I think I've found our home." she passed me the phone and showed me the listing. I scrolled through the photos and read the description. It was perfect. It had everything we had been looking for.

"Came on today."

"It's perfect."

"Good because I've got us a viewing this afternoon" she beamed.

"I fucking love you" I laugh pulling her into me and kissing her.

We sat and ate our breakfast and watched a bit of tele before we got up and cleaned the living room. We got showered and dressed and then went to get Sofia from Mark.

Later that day.....

We pulled up infront of the house and even from the outside I could tell it was perfect. We got out and walked to the women who was stood outside the front door.

"Hello I'm Jo, shall we" she smiled as she opened the front door.

We walked in and I fell in love with it straight away and by the look on Callie's face she has as well. I could really see us living here, me Callie and Sofia and maybe another baby. I've  been thinking for a while now and I want to extend our family but I haven't told Callie yet. To be honest I'm a little scared that she won't want that. I mean she has Sofia so I can't blame her if she doesn't want another child.
