Chapter 25

A while later...

"Fuck" Arizona breathed as she collapsed next to me. We stayed like that for a few moments until we caught our breath. She then laid her head on my bare chest and laid one of her legs across mine. My eyes went straight to the scars and my heart ached just looking at them. I can't take it anymore I need to know the whole story.

"Arizona," I whisper. She hummed in response.

"I want to ask you something, and I don't really know how," I say as she stoked her arm.

"Just ask," she said as she trailed her finger along my stomach.

"The scars," I whisper. I instantly felt her body tense and her finger stop.

"Sofia will be back soon, we best get washed and dressed," she said after a few seconds, sitting up and getting off the bed, wrapping a blanket around her naked body.

"Arizona, please, I can't take not knowing anymore," I pleaded. I don't know why, but I could feel tears forming in my eyes. Once she turned around and saw my face, she sighed and sat on the side of the bed, her back to me.

"What do you want to know?" she asks.

"How and what happened, when I was speaking to Lexi earlier, she said you were really bad, that she thought she was going to lose you. She said she can't get the image out of her head. What image is she talking about? " she didn't say anything for a few seconds.

"After finding out about Sofia and Mark, I was broken.." I stayed silent waiting for her to carry on.

"I drank so much after you left that night like so much. But it didn't help. The pain was unbearable, so I went into the bathroom and got a razor and carried on drinking. Next think I remember waking up on the bathroom floor covered in blood. " I could feel the tears spill from my eyes.

"I'm so sorry it's all my fault," I cried. I can picture what that must have looked like for Lexi, and my heart broke at the thought.

"Hey," Arizona said as she turned around to face me.

"It's not your fault at all, if only I'd have heard you out it wouldn't have happened, so I'm the only one to blame, I drank the alchol, I took a razor to my legs, not you. So please don't blame yourself. "

"But if I had told you at the start," I said as tears rolled down my face.

" This is why I didn't want to tell you how bad it was because I knew you would blame yourself, but please don't," she pleaded. I just nodded.

"It's done now, the past is the past, we are here, together me you and Sofia thats all that matters," she said with a little smile. I couldn't help but smile a little, too.

"Is there anything else you want to know?" she asks.

"No, just promise me you won't do that again,"

"I promise," she smiled, taking my hand in hers. She leaned in and kissed me.

"Now come on, we need to get washed and dressed. Sofia will be back soon," she said as she stood up and walked to the bathroom, stopping at the door.

"You coming?" she said with a seductive smile on her face. I quickly jumped up and ran to her, causing her to laugh at my eagerness.

A few days later....

"Arizona, are you ready? I shout upstairs. Today is the day she goes back to work, and a few days ago, I would have been sad about it since it meant she would be moving out. But now that we are working together, it makes it a little easier since I will be seeing her more. Sofia took it a bit hard, like I knew she would, but after a few tears and Arizona promising her she would  see her in a few days, she calmed down a little.

"I'm coming," she shouts, running down the stairs.

"Yano, I'm the manager. I can be a few minutes late," she laughs.

"Yes, but it's my first day, and I don't want to be late or get special treatment because I'm sleeping with the boss," I reply

"I mean, you can have special treatment if you want," she said as she walked up to me and started kissing me, pinning me against the wall

"So tempting," I said between kisses.

"But seriously, I don't want Amelia to regret hiring me." I laugh as I gently push her off me.

"Urgh, buzzkill," she said, rolling her eyes. She picked up her suitcase and we got into my car and headed to the cafe.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous. I've never worked in a cafe or anything like that. I've always done finance, so going into something completely different is a little daunting, but knowing Arizona is going to be there makes it less scary.

"Right, let me show you how to set everything up," Arizons said once we got into the cafe. We put our bags down, and she started showing me how to set everything up. 20 minutes later, it was all done.

"I'm going to love working with you," she smiles as she puts her arms around my waist and pulls me closer to her.

"Me too." I smile back, leaning in and connecting our lips.

"I wouldn't mind getting in on that," someone says, causing us to jump apart.

"Don't even," Arizona says with a stern look on her face. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't hot. Perrie just laughs and holds her hands up before walking to the staff room.

The morning went by rather quickly, and I was loving every minute of it. Both Arizona and Perrie were so helpful, Perrie, maybe too much, but I tried to ignore it, but I could tell it was making Arizona a little mad/jealous.

I had just been to the toilet  and was just about to leave when Perrie came in and cornered me. I tried to move, but she kept stepping in my way, pushing me closer to the wall

"You're so beautiful," she said as she closed the gap between us.

"Erm.. thanks," I said. She smiled and tucked a stray bit of hair behind my ear.

"What are you doing?" I whispered as I placed my hands on her stomach to stop her coming any closer

"I think you know," she smiled as she pushed against my hands to get closer.

"Perrie don't" I said firmly, but she didn't listen she just moved closer.

"You know you want to," she smirked. Suddenly, she leaned in, and I felt her lips on mine. I instantly pushed her of me, causing her to stumble back a little. Without even thinking, I lifted my hand and slapped her across the face just as the toilet door opened.
