I walked into the club the familiar smell of alcohol and the mix of perfume and aftershave greeting me as well as the booming sound of music and people talking and singing. I went straight to the bar and ordered myself a drink. I downed it and ordered another one and sat on a stool. Just then, I saw her, I saw Callie... dancing with someone else, it hurt seeing it, but I couldn't help but stare. The way her body moved was so angelic. She looked so sexy. She was wearing a white jumpsuit with black heels, and her hair was pinned up, not a strand out of place. I couldn't keep my eyes off her. However just then the women she was dancing with kissed her, I was hoping Callie would pull away but she didn't she kissed her back and I could physically feel my heart break at the sight, that should be me.
I downed my drink and ordered another 2, which I downed straight away. I couldn't take this anymore. All the hurt and anger from everything the past couple of months and today was to much, I don't know what came over but I stood up from the stool having to steady myself on the bar as I nearly fell over. I stumbled my way onto the dancefloor until I reached Callie. By this point, they had stopped kissing, but Callie's hands were wrapped around the other women's neck. She saw me and moved her hands from around her neck, the smile fading from her face.
"I..I thought you do..nt do one night stands," I slurred. But before she could say anything I carried on.
"I haven't stopped thinking about yyyoouuu all week, I thought it was special. I told myself that I would never see you again. I mean, what are the odds right. But then you turn up at my work and I can't believe it but then you basically looked through me and.. it hurt me... a lot, and then I see you sucking face with this one, " I drunkly pointed at the blonde next to me.
"And it hurt like hell but I'm done pining after someone like you and I'm going to forget about that night, so go have fun because I sure am, and don't ever come to my work place again" with that I turned away leaving Callie speechless. I left the club and went to another one a few doors down. I got a drink and some shots and went to the dancefloor. I was wasted, I could tell, but I didn't care. A couple of minutes later, I went to the bathroom, and as I was washing my hands, I saw this girl standing by the door, eyeing me up. I dried my hands, and as I walked towards the door, I walked up to her and pushed her against the wall and kissed her. Luckily, she kissed me back. Just then, the door opened, and Callie walked in. She stopped for a second and then walked to the sink, I knew she was staring, but I didn't care.
"Let's go to the other toilet, this one got a bit crowded." I smirked at the woman, standing in front of making sure Callie heard me.
"Okay," she smiled. With that, I opened the door, and she walked to the disabled toilet. I took one last look at Callie and walked out.
After about 20 minutes, we walked out the toilet and went out separate ways. I went to the bar and had a few more drinks. I was beyond wasted, more than ever before, tell but I didn't care, it was helping to forget everything. I stumbled my way onto the dancefloor and danced for a while, downing more drinks. A while later I started to feel rubbish, hot sweaty dizzy and really sleepy so I decided to go home.
I left the club, and as soon as I walked outside, the cool air hit me, making everything around me spin twice as fast. It also made me start seeing 3 of everything, and to be honest, I hadn't a clue where I was going. I don't know how long I was walking or where I was walking but the next thing I knew I became really dizzy and then everything went black.
Beep...beep...beep
What is that noise. I slowly opened my eyes, the bright light burning them. I let them adjust for second, and then I looked around. There was a tube coming from my arm, which I saw was attached to a drip. There was something attached to one of my fingers that was connected to the machine that was making the beeping sound. What the hell happened. Why am I in hospital. I looked over to my left and saw Lexi asleep on the chair next to my bed.
"L-lexi," I croaked. Her eyes fluttered opened and then shot opened when she realised that I had spoken.
"Arizona, you're awake," she said, grabbing my hand. I could tell she's been crying by the fact that her eyes were red and puffy.
"What happened? What time is it?" I whispered as I tried to sit myself up, which failed as the bed was flat.
"Here," Lexi said, pressing a button on the side of the bed, causing the head of the bed to slowly lift up so I was slightly sitting up.
"Thanks, what happened?" I repeated.
"its 11:30 and well you passed out and banged your head Callie said she followed you because she wanted to talk to you or something She said you started walking down a dark alley way and then you passed out and hit your head. When she got to you, you were unconscious, pale, and clammy just in a bad way. So she called an ambulance and then called me. They had to pump your stomach Arizona, what was you thinking, " It took a few seconds for the words to sink in, as vague images of the night started to appear.
"I'm so sorry, Lexi," I cried
"I don't know what happened. I just wanted everything to stop hurting, and with every drink, the pain seemed to ease, so I carried on."
"If it wasn't for Callie, you might not have been found and could have died." Those last few words hit me hard, I could have died? suddenly, even though they were all jumbled and blurry, more images started to appear.
" I fucked up so bad" I cried I then started to tell her what happened after leaving the house well of what I could remember. However it didn't make much sense as it was all jumbled but Lexi got the gist.
"We all make mistakes but what is done is done, you cant change it. All you can do now is make sure you don't make the same mistake again. But you need to get your drinking under control, this isn't you. Your better then this. You cant let her or anyone ruin your life. What she did was despicable and heartless she doesn't deserve your tears and you doing this to yourself. As for Callie, it was a one night stand I don't want to upset you even more but that's what is was and no one night stand deserves this" she gestured to the bed.
"I know the bad ass fighter who I've known for 24 years, who can get through anything is still inside you, you just have to let her come through again. You deserve the world and anyone who cant give you that isn't worth your time. We want the old Arizona back" Everything she was saying was right. She's always right. I know I'm stronger then this. Its just hard to pretend your okay when inside your broken.
