A month later.....
This has been the best month of my life. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to be able to call Callie my girlfriend. She is just amazing, kind, caring, beautiful, and just perfect. I realised the other day that I'm in love with her. I know it sounds crazy but it's true, and to be honest, I think I have been since we first met. I guess I was just so caught up in the pain and destruction that Carina caused that I didn't see it, but know I do, and it terrifies me. We've only known each other for just over 2 months but if you know, you know.
She's coming over tonight, and I'm planning a special evening so I can tell her how I feel. I'm terrified because I'm scared she will freak out or that she won't feel the same or that I'll end up hurt again, but I'm done hiding and being scared. I've been waiting for Callie for so long, and I'm not going to wait any longer. If she doesn't feel the same, then I'll be hurt, but if she does, then I'll be the happiest I've ever been, so it's worth the risk, I hope.
"Could you take the order for number 4, just making these?" Beth asked as she was pouring coffee into cups.
"yeah sure" I smiled, taking my pen and paper. My smile soon faded when I saw who was sitting there. It was Maya, Carina's fiancé, sat with someone I didn't recognise. I faked a smile before going over.
"afternoon what can I get you?"
"Just 2 coffee's and 2 jacket potatoes with beans and cheese, please," the other women smiled.
"No problem." As soon as I turned around, I let the smile fade. A few months ago, I would have been a mess just seeing Maya, but now I'm okay, and that's because of Callie.
"2 coffee's and 2 beans and cheese jackets for number 4 Beth." Just then, I heard the door open, but before I could turn around, I felt arms wrap around my waist. If it wasn't for the electricity that shot through my body from her touch, I'd have turned around and pushed them off. Instead, I lend into her resting my head on her shoulder.
"Hey beautiful," she whispers in my ear, pecking me on the cheek.
"Hey to you too," I smile as I finally turn around, looking into those brown eyes I've come to love.
"What are you doing here, I'm not supposed to be seeing you till later," I say, wrapping my arms around her neck and pulling her closer.
"I'm going to see Addison, but I thought I'd pay my girlfriend a visit and surprise her on the way," she grins.
"Best kind of surprise," I say, leaning in connecting our lips, just briefly but enough to set the butterflies off.
"Good," she grins back, giving me another peck.
"Do you want a coffee?" I asked.
"I'd love one." I gave her another peck but moved to the other side of the counter. This is the first time she's done this, coming to my work, but I'm not complaining at all. I made her a coffee and walked back to her, placing the coffee next to her on the counter.
"So what are you going to do?" I asked, intertwining our fingers.
"Just going to go shopping, buy a few things and maybe something very special," she winks at me, causing my stomach to flip.
"Oh yeah, what's that?" I smile
"have to wait and see" Fuck was all I could think.
"your a tease"
"but you love it" she smirks.
"but" I say pulling her into me
"two can play at that game" I whisper in her ear giving it a little nibble, knowing that It drives her crazy.
