"oh my god, taehyung are you alright?!" jimin jumped off from his bed and instantly ran to his blue haired soulmate who just entered the room, tackling him in a tight hug. "i'm so sorry, i shouldn't have left you alone-
"please, don't apologize. it's my fault, i drank without you, even though you told me not to," taehyung responded, hiding his face in the crook of jimin's neck, sighing out at the familiarity of the smaller's hug.
he wanted to stay in jimin's hold, because once he cuts off, he knows his thoughts will burst out into a chaos.
babyboy.
what could have possibly happen for taehyung to tell jeongguk to call him that?
"are you alright though? did something happen?"
taehyung closed his eyes. did something happen?
babyboy
"i think something happened with jeongguk, i don't know what though, he didn't tell me."
"why do you think so?" jimin asked, cutting away from the hug. a suspicious look graced jimin's features, something that looked like hesitation, which made taehyung wonder if the blond in front of him knew something that he doesn't.
a small tuck on his heart happened when taehyung thought about what he was going to tell next. "well... he mentioned something.." he mumbled unsurely, bottom lip finding its home between his teeth.
jimin raised an eyebrow. "oh c'mon, don't play this game and tell me what he said taehyung. sooner or later you'd do that anyways." he rolled his eyes, lips curving up lightly as he tilted his head to the side.
taehyung sighed, knowing that jimin is right. "i was drunk, yeah i figured that out, but... jeongguk he said i wanted him to call me babyboy- but i don't know if he was joking or if i really did that? maybe he was just teasing me and, i don't know..." taehyung trailed off.
and jimin... he began to ugly laugh.
"kim taehyung, you're so clueless!" his laughter became louder and taehyung just... even more confused.
jimin clutched his arms around his tummy, falling back on his bed, while taehyung mumbled something about the situation not being funny and jimin exaggerating.
"yeah, just laugh at me. if you know so much, then tell me what happened.."
"well my soulmate, if jeongguk refused to tell you, i won't either," jimin grinned and taehyung pouted.
"you're no help and what am i clueless for?"
"quite a lot actually. you, innocent bean, don't quite receive the signs," jimin said and taehyung didn't understand at all what was going on.
"hyung, you're just confusing me more! and stop talking like i'm a kid, i'm only a year younger than you.." taehyung crossed his arms, looking away from his pink haired best friend.
"bestie, if you're acting like a kid, accept getting treated like one- though what you were up to yesterday was far from kid-like."
taehyung furrowed his eyebrows by this statement, uncomfortableness running through his veins as he wondered what he could possibly have done for everyone to be so strange to him.
"i know.. i know that there was this dude and i started grinding on him, but i know nothing more, i... i have the right to know what happened to me, hyung. this is not your-
"calm down, taehyung. the grinding against the dude thingy is something everyone saw, you were quite vocal at the party, shakira and her lying hips are shaking. but," jimin leaned back on the bed, stemming his hand behind him, "what happened after jeongguk had taken you away from him, is something only he knows." jimin cleared his throat. "and me, since he told me. don't worry, you didn't do anything illegal, it was only jeongguk."
frustration build up inside taehyung. "and i asked jeongguk to call me babyboy or what? jimin- fucking hell- did something serious happen? you worry me and why can't i know?!"
jimin grinned. "ask gguk about it, i guess."
letting out an annoyed breath, taehyung grabbed his jacket. "i'm gonna get some fresh air," he just said monotonously, walking to the door. jimin would've stopped him, but he didn't and watched his soulmate leave the room.
once taehyung was gone, he let himself fall back on his bed. "you're so blind kim taehyung."
taehyung groaned when he reached the entrance to their college and looked outside through the see-through doors, only to find it outside streaming rain. but he didn't care, no one would talk to him and tell him what happened, so why would he stay around them. internally agreeing with himself that he was never going to drink more than a beer when being alone, taehyung stepped outside, a freeing sigh leaving his lips once cold raindrops came in contact with his honey skin and he could feel his hair becoming heavier as the rain soaked it.
not caring at all, taehyung began walking around, through the rain, letting the water soak him fully, but he only savored the feeling of getting cooled down. the calming atmosphere and soothing smell the weather causes was bringing him at peace.
he took slow steps forward, trying to clear his mind, but he couldn't help wondering what happened with jeongguk.
a sigh left his lips, by now, his blue hair was hanging into his face. he just noticed how the colour had faded a little and decided to try out a new colour next. his natural dark brown hair also began growing out at the roots again. he remembers the first time he had dyed his hair. he wasn't as bold with colours as now and began with a normal blonde, tried ash blonde out right after. to surprise jeongguk, he had dyed them black once too and he loved taking silly pictures of him and jeongguk and they joked, pretending to be twins. they even tricked a grandma into believing that they were twin brothers and it worked.
after that, taehyung began trying more vibrant colours and went with a strawberry pink first. he had tried orange out too, but he didn't really like it and tried out red, which with he was more pleased with. now he was the blueberry from today.
back to the actual, cruel world-- hair colours weren't important.
taehyung doesn't believe he'd be able to count how many sighs he had let out in the past few minutes of him walking through the rain. it bothered him a little, that he doesn't know what happened the day before, though he felt a little relieved that what happened seemed to be between him and jeongguk.
he knows no matter what happened, jeongguk would never judge taehyung for anything, so whatever taehyung did won't be such a huge problem. maybe. however he knows, if something embarrassing happened, he won't tell anyone about it. okay maybe, jimin is the only exception. the three of them were best friends after all.
friends.
taehyung hadn't really showed it before, but jeongguk's presence was doing many things to him- besides making him smile and feel happiness, after all this time it began making him all shy. taehyung gets easily flustered around the other male, maybe because jeongguk cared so much for him and always tried to do everything for him. jeongguk loved taehyung. in any way a boy can love their best friend.
best friends.
that's what they were. while taehyung was to 100% sure that jeongguk was never going to overstep this boundary, taehyung had found himself questioning if the same goes for him. would he overstep this boundary?
taehyung never intended in feeling just a little more for jeongguk.
if it is even just a little.
he really wants to blame anyone or anything for that, but he knows there's no one to be blamed for what was going on inside of him. but one thing was certain.
taehyung can't fall for his best friend, it would just destroy their friendship and it would probably change everything.
