taehyung's phone dropped to the ground and with it, himself too as tears formed in his eyes, threatening to fall every second. his hands began shaking, his breathing became heavy and his heart felt as if it stopped, or just started beating inhumanly, he couldn't tell.

but it hurt. that's what he could tell. it felt as if his throat was tightened together, as if his chest was getting pierced, his heart getting ripped out and then crushed.

jeongguk ignored him, coming back with an invitation of him getting married.

he is engaged.

the tears in taehyung's eyes finally broke out and he softly cried to himself on the floor, feeling empty, as if a part of him was ripped away. jeongguk. jeongguk was a part of him.

or he used to be, now being someone else'.

taehyung quickly dialed jeongguk's number, calling him, but as expected, all he heard was the damn voicemail.

so, all he did was crying pathetically.

but his ringing phone interrupted him and for a second he hoped that it was jeongguk, coming to tell him that this was a prank, fake mews. he furrowed his eyebrows though, seeing it was seokjin.

he picked up, knowing jin, he hates to get ignored. "h-hey hyung?"

"taehyungie, me and joonie are in front of your door, can you open up?"

fuck. taehyung quickly wiped his tears. "y-yeah, sure. wait a second.."

he hung up and quickly went to open the door, seeing his two hyungs, jeongguk's older brothers.

he just stood there for a moment, fighting the tears. he couldn't bring a word over his lips.

it took only one look to see that the youbg boy was just crying though. "hey, baby, what's wrong?"

namjoon furrowed his eyebrows as he walked to the small male and hugged him. And that's where taehyung broke into loud sobs, clinging into namjoon's jacket.

worried and confused, the couple gave each other a look. "let's get inside first," the oldest suggested and walked to the living room.

jimin was still asleep on the table, not receiving anything that was happening around him. internally, taehyung wished he could do the same. sleep and miss everything. forever.

the three sat down on the couch, namjoon still holding him tightly in his arms.

"did something happen?" seokjin asked after some time passed and taehyung calmed down.

the brunet bit his lip, almost breaking down crying again as he thought about what happened. He hesitantly grabbed his phone and handed it to namjoon, who looked at what was opened.

seokjin gasped when he joined namjoon, clasping his hand onto his mouth in shock. "th-this can't be.." he mumbled, quickly grabbing his own phone to call his boyfriend's brother.

a deep frown formed on namjoon's face, reading the wedding invitation over and over again, not believing this was true. "he just randomly sent you this?"

taehyung wordlessly nodded, hugging his own body.

"he still doesn't pick up," seokjin mumbled, putting his phone away.

jeongguk hasn't texted with anyone of his friends and family in seoul for the past month and suddenly, this message reaches taehyung.

his boyfriend's could not accept the fact that after waiting of a response from him for so long, this was the first thing that reached him.

taehyung scoffed.

"h-he distanced himself this whole time... i-i should've known that he was cheating..."

namjoon hummed. "i never expected him to do something like that."

taehyung let a small laugh out, his heart aching, the pain almost bearable. "is he that weak that he can't tell me that himself?" he grabbed his phone.

'kim byeol'

taehyung felt his hands shaking seeing that name again after three years.

"it's okay, can i get your number then, so i can contact you?" the girl asked, her high pitched voice making taehyung want to tape her mouth shut.

and why didn't he want jeongguk to give her his number?

"yeah sure, just contact me if you meed anything." jeongguk smiled, taking the girls phone in his hands and typed his phone number in.

"my name is kim byeol," she smiled and so did the raven haired. "jeon jeongguk," he responded, giving her the phone back.

and taehyung watched the scenario with an uneasy feeling.

"th-that's.." taehyung almost let his phone drop, feeling heavy, burning tears in the back of his eyes, fighting their way of release.

this girl used to be his classmate. and jeongguk knew her, they exchanged numbers. did they ever text? and if, for how long?
he forgot completely about that girl, he was so convinced that jeongguk had his eyes only for him and that he would never respond her.

but taehyung was stabbed in the back, by the boy he loved.

he felt betrayed, his mind giving him pictures he never thought he would be able to imagine. jeongguk with that girl, doing things he couldn't with taehyung because he was living in another town, while she probably lived around the corner.

a bitter chuckle left taehyung. he was so hurt, so broken.

he felt numb when he turned his phone completely off. he felt numb when he broke down crying again. numb, when he felt two pairs of arms wrap around him from his boyfriend's— or ex-boyfriend's— older brothers.

taehyung felt numb.

totally drained out of energy and any feelings. he hated it.

he hated this feeling of being lied to, being betrayed. he had so many hopes, so many beliefs and in the end, it all crashed down with one message.

but more than feeling depressed by it, he felt disappointed. never had he thought that jeongguk, the boy who saved his life and made him swim in love, who he trusted with his whole heart and body, would hurt him so much in the end.

"it's okay, tae. he doesn't deserve you," namjoon spoke softly, patting the young boy's hair. although he just said that, in some way he felt strange about it. jeongguk has been in love for so long, he never thought his brother would ever break his heart.

whereas, seokjin was boiling in anger and disappointment.

and taehyung, was crying in both of it and much more, all these mixed emotions bubbling inside of him.
