"taeeeee~" jimin whined as he tried to get his soulmate to leave the bed, but ever since yesterday, taehyung would stay in bed all day, do literally nothing but sleep, stare at the ceiling and sleep again. his expression always stayed the same- void of any emotion and literally lifeless.
"c'mon bear, let's get breakfast. you haven't eaten dinner yesterday too," jimin spoke, trying to keep his voice soft though as he pulled on taehyung's arm.
taehyung whined lightly, prying his arm away. "let me go, i'm not hungry."
jimin huffed as he let go. "you can't do this to yourself, tae. just because you don't want jeongguk to go, doesn't mean he will stay forever with you."
taehyung pressed his eyes tightly together to stop the tears in his eyes. "he had promised it, hyung..." he said through gritted teeth, as he hid his face under a blanket.
jimin sighed. "instead of crying the whole time, get up and spend time with him. it's not easy for him either, bub. he won't be happy to see you cry and you know that."
taehyung sniffed lightly and sat up, making jimin cringe lightly at how done the boy looked. "okay, maybe you should take a shower and style your hair a little."
jimin ringed on jeongguk's and hoseok's dormroom, having taehyung dragged behind him. hoseok was the one to open up and he looked surprise to see the two here.
"hey!" he greeted and jimin looked inside to make sure jeongguk is there, before he grabbed hoseok, pulled him outside and pushed taehyung inside, closing the door.
with a gasp hoseok stumbled outside, almost tripping. "hey! what was that for?!"
jimin chuckled. "they need their alone time, i know you understand."
hoseok's expression softened. "so he found out?"
"yeah, gguk told him yesterday."
"did he tell him about the party?" hoseok then asked and jimin shook his head. "i don't think so."
"tae!" jeongguk called out as he saw his best friend also stumbling inside, barely being able to hold himself on his feet as he felt so weak and drained out of energy.
jeongguk quickly went to him and helped him up again, while taehyung said nothing, letting himself get carried like this.
"hey, are you alright?" the older asked softly as he sat taehyung on his bed and took a place next to him.
"i'm fine.." taehyung mumbled quietly and jeongguk frowned lightly hearing his voice so broken, croaked and barely there.
"you're not." the older knelt in front of him and gently took the other's smaller hands in his. "i know... i know i'm breaking a promise, but please try to understand me too, bub. i really wanna know where i'm from and being a ceo of a firm doesn't sound that bad, you know?" he slowly reached his hand out and placed it on taehyung's cheek, gently wiping his tears away.
"i-i'm just scared to be without you. you w-were with me this whole time and at home- i will be alone at home. you won't be there when i can't sleep and i-i won't be able t-to read books to you when you can't sleep. it's just... i will miss you so much, everything will be so different..." no words can really describe how lost taehyung feels, knowing that jungkook will be gone.
jeongguk looked at taehyung with a sad smile. "don't worry, we'll call everyday, yeah? i'll try to visit you and jimin as often as possible and for the time being, you'll be busy with studies and won't even notice i'm gone, bub. don't be sad, i'm not leaving you, i'm just... moving."
taehyung nodded lightly and hugged jeongguk. "it's... okay. it's not like I will never see you again, right?"
jeongguk hugged taehyung back, nuzzling his nose in the younger's hair. "let's do something fun today, babyboy." damn that nickname. taehyung smiled.
"you're really calling me that now, huh?" jeongguk chuckled. "you asked me to and i always do what you tell me."
taehyung hummed. "okay then, what would be something fun?"
"I don't know, anything you want."
taehyung smiled and looked to his lap. "can we maybe just lay in bed all day and cuddle and talk. i'm kinda... tired today," he said and jeongguk instantly nodded. "if that's what you want to do, then it's also what i wanna do. though, firstly, you need to eat something for breakfast, bub. jimin said you skipped dinner yesterday and were about to skip breakfast." jeongguk took taehyung's hand in his. "don't skip meals because of me, taehyung. it's not healthy."
taehyung blinked a few times and then nodded, making jeongguk smile. "okay," he got up, not letting go of taehyung's hand. "let's go then," he pulled taehyung from the bed, making the younger giggle lightly.
outside, they met their waiting roommates. "oh so you're going out?" hoseok asked and taehyung turned red. jeongguk shook his head. "we're gonna get breakfast for him and... maybe could you too leave our dorm room for us today?" jeongguk asked hoseok with expecting eyes.
"the whole day? what are you gonna do alone in a room for a whole day-
"nothing what you're thinking off!" taehyung interrupted, cheeks turning redder than ever in embarrassment. jimin looked up and rolled his eyes when he saw jeongguk smirking. "fine, okay, hobi let's leave them alone for today."
"but that's my room!" jimin shot him a death glare. "i said, let's leave," he gritted out and hoseok gulped, nodding lightly.
"c-can we go now?" taehyung asked quietly as he tugged on jeongguk's hand and watched how jimin dragged a protesting hoseok away from them.
"this feels like old times in the hospital," taehyung whispered with a content smile, as he cuddled closer to his best friend.
jeongguk hummed, nuzzling his nose into taehyung's black curls. just like planned, the two were now in bed, cuddling and talking- just like in the old times.
"just that you were a brunet and tiny," jeongguk chuckled. "i'm sorry, i was only 15." taehyung giggled. "but black hair looks amazing on you."
"you find everything that's black amazing, gguk," taehyung scoffed and jeongguk laughed lightly, agreeing with that. "you have a point."
taehyung circled his fingers over jeongguk's chest, stopping at some point and smiling brightly when he notice jeongguk was wearing a necklace. a special one. "you still have it."
"i promised to cherish it forever. it's one of my most precious properties," jeongguk explained, referring to the necklace with the green colored mismatching pearls that taehyung had made for him on his 18th birthday. "after you of course, you're my most precious property."
taehyung's eyes widened, heart jumping. "s-so i'm your property now, huh?"
jeongguk hugged his waist. "you said it yourself, babyboy."
"what?" taehyung questioned confused.
"that you're mine and mine only."
