18. facetime

when everyone was back in the classroom, taehyung and jeongguk still stayed outside in halls, having the excuse that taehyung has many questions regarding the new school. the teacher was approving, giving taehyung time to talk to his best friend.

taehyung glanced through the hall and when he was sure that no one was around, he quickly hugged jeongguk tightly. taken off guard, jeongguk chuckled, before moving his arms around taehyung's thin body, deepening the hug.

"missed me so much?" the ravenette mocked and taehyung giggled lightly as he took a step back from him. "not really, i was with you when you fell asleep," he reminded, making jeongguk smile.

"so, what is mr kim wanting to know?" jeongguk tilted his head with a light smirk and taehyung copied his energy, making the exact same move. "mr kim wants to know if mr jeon is free for the afternoon and wants to spend time with him?"

a chuckle formed in the older's throat. "mr jeon takes the offer wholeheartedly and questions what the two are going to do.." he responded, taking a step closer.

"well, mr kim thought about going home and spend a nice evening there, with movies and food, he and mr jeon they facetime their grandma."

a wide smile formed on jeongguk's face by the idea. "that sounds perfect, tae!" he suddenly hugged the younger, squishing him in his hold.

"c-can't... breathe," taehyung tried to form the words and giggled lightly when jeongguk let him go. "i miss her."

taehyung smiled sadly. "me too.. by the way, since we're already talking about it, what do you think about visiting your brothers next week?"

jeongguk hummed and then thought a little. "since there are no upcoming exams, i'd love that. namjoon and jin hyung haven't visited us since what feels like ages."

taehyung smiled. "good then."

it were moments like these that just felt so natural between them and taehyung loved them. he loved the way he can talk to jeongguk about anything so smoothly, with no worries of what he might think, since he would never judge him.

he loved the purity in their friendship.

but he himself, is the one taking the first step over the purity. even during a small conversation like this, although he does not show it, taehyung was feeling a little flustered, his heart automatically beating a tick faster than it usually does when he is with jeongguk.

this was never the case before, but it has been since a few days now.

"you should go back in now, mrs shin is probably talking about a lot of important stuff."
taehyung pouted lightly, but knew what the older boy said was true.

"you're right, so after lessons, we won't go to our dorms right?" jeongguk smiled warmly, shaking his head. "what's your last class?"

"i don't know, i haven't gotten my time table yet," taehyung shrugged and jeongguk face palmed himself. "sorry, forgot that this is your first day... you know what, just wait in your dorm room and i'm gonna come over then we can go."

taehyung nodded. "okiedokie, see you then," he said, only for his expression to turn stiff and then relaxed again, as he felt a pair of lips against his cheek. "have fun, baby boy." and then jeongguk skipped away.

and taehyung was left baffled. okay, okay, it's nothing special. jeongguk always gives him kisses, that's normal. and yes, he also began calling taehyung the pet name to his request, even though it was unintentionally requested.

but why the hell was both these parties combined so affective? it was driving taehyung crazy and he hates himself for feeling this way. jeongguk was his best friend, he can't feel about him this way.
