MARCEL'S POV

I was at the compound with Klaus and Elijah. We've had a tip that Mikeal had crawled back from the ashes and planned something. We needed to work out what that was. Klaus was more worried now than ever. Azalea was in the same town as him. So was Hope. They were his priority. He couldn't leave them because they'll have no protection and according to our 'friend,' he knew who Hope was and who Azalea was. He had to stay to protect them. He couldn't send them away this time. He couldn't go away.

I was meant to be meeting Azalea today but I needed to make sure she was safe. So I cancelled and told her I'd be at  Nik's Compound if she needed me. She said she'd be fine and was just going to stay home today.

"Why don't we place Azalea in the town square as Bait," Kol said walking through. Klaus shot him a look. "Why don't I put you back in your box?" He said narrowing his eyes at his younger brother. "Think it about it... She was able to take you on... she'd at least be able to stall father whilst we get there. She wouldn't get hurt." "No Kol," Elijah said stopping his brother from formulating a plan of his own. Kol looked out for Kol. So he wouldn't truly care if she got hurt. And he had never seen Azalea actually do anything other than serving them dinner.

----------

We had been sat here for hours trying locator spell after locator spell. "He's clocked I can't do it." Freya says throwing her emulate at the map. "MARCEL! MARCEL!" I hear panicked screams. And then the gates of the Compound were being shaken. "Marcel please! Open the gate!" I jumped up and run to the doors to let her in. I was prepared to see her. She was looking over her shoulders as she pulled at the gate trying to get it open.

"You're okay," I tell her she fell into my arms. She had blood trickling down her face from her eyes and nose. "I've got you." I tell her she leant on me, she was so weak! "FREYA!" I called. I've only seen witches bleed like this it had to be a magic thing.

Klaus' face filled with anger. "What happened to her!" Freya exclaimed moving so I could sit her on the sofa. "They're coming." She whispered. "Who... I don't- I." "Azalea!" Hope! "What's wrong? Are you okay?" "Yeah, I'm okay." She lied. "Go upstairs, Hope." Her father told her. "She's my friend." "I know but you need to go upstairs." He tried.

"Who did this to you?" Freya asked. She shook her head. I notice the bruise, the same one she had on her arm years ago. "Did your parents do this to you?" "Marcel please." She begged. "How's that even possible?" "My dad turned... the compulsion broke."

"Drink this, love." Klaus offered her a glass of his blood. She pushed it away. "I'm fine." "No, you're not fine." He said. "Drink this sweetie, please." Freya tried. She looked at me and I nodded. "You're safe here," I tell her and she let Freya help her drink it, she was too weak to even live the glass.

"What did they do?" Freya asked. "Black magic... I've never seen it before. There was a skull and they were. It's a blur." She says leaning her head on my shoulder. "But they're coming." She whispered and she was blacked out.

"Azalea!" Klaus said kneeling in front of her shaking her. "She's still breathing brother," Elijah said stopping him from losing his mind with worry. "She's just tired... Her body's gone into survival mode." Freya explains. "They were draining her." She runs her finger over an ugly cut on her wrist, it had a tube sticking out of it. She slowly pulled it out and held it, Klaus' blood healed her quickly. "Let's get her to a bed." Klaus picks her up.

"I've got you, princess." He whispered to her as he carried her away. "I'm going to kill them!" I say standing up and as I did they came storming in. "Where is she?" Her father boomed. "Who?" Freya said acting dumb. "I don't buy the whole blonde act... wheres my daughter?" "She's not here," I say firmly.
