A few months had past and it was now summer, the cold weather has finally left and it's warm out, with blue skies and everyone was happy. And I was madly in love and life was good. It's really good.

I was just dropping Hope off at home. Damon and I moved out full time into an apartment that was above a bar it was fun. It was nice to have our own place, Hope has her own room so she stays over whenever she wants but the rule is no more than two nights in a row. That was made by Hayley. It took some time for dad to come around to the fact that I was moving out and it caused a lot of arguments between me and Damon because we brought the bar and the apartment and I would stay every other night. I was working up to telling my dad I was going full time. So I started to stay more and more until it was just one night a week at dads and then I finally broke it to him. He didn't take it well at all. We were cleaning blood off the walls for weeks.

Now he's okay with it. Kind of. He and Damon do not take. Ever. Damon's not allowed in the compound and it makes things highly awkward for me. Because I feel like I'm constantly choosing between the two of them. And I don't want to do that.  "Did you have a good time?" Hayley asked Hope. "Yeah. Damon made us this special spaghetti." "It was eggplant pasta," I confirm. "It was so good. And Lea and I painted this big canvas, it's in the car, uncle Elijah is getting it out. And we baked Cupcakes."  She rambled about all the things we've been doing over the past few days. "Sounds like you had an amazing time then." Hayley beamed.

"Damon's waiting in the car so I better head out." "Your dads in the lounge." "DAD!" I shouted to him. He appeared and come down he hugged me. "You staying for dinner?" "Damon and I have reservations." "Of course you do." "Dad will you just stop already!" I snapped. "Damon is a good man. He treats me well. He loves me we're happy. I'm still your daughter I'm just not a child anymore. I've got to carry on with my life. I know I'm stuck forever now but I can still grow." I tell him firmly. "So stop putting Damon down because he is a better man than you." His eyes grew angry at me. I'm not scared of my dad. "I'm leaving now. I'll see you soon, Hope." I kissed the top of her head.

"Thank you for coming," Dad said greeting us at the door. "Thanks for the invite," I tell him taking my jacket off and hanging it up as I walked into the house. I go straight to the kitchen to find Hayley Damon following me partly because I was holding his hand in mine.

"So how's the new place?" Hayley asked as soon as we arrived. "It's good. We've just finished remodelling the kitchen." I tell her. "We? As in ou two?" "Yeah, Damon's pretty handy." I praised him, he's done most of the work himself. I painted the walls and picked out the decor but he's done all the hard stuff. I'm glad because I'm really not into all that building and putting up shelves. "I'm impressed." She said, "You'll have to come over to see the place." Damon invited her. "You too Klaus... If you're willing." Damon says to him. "Wheres Hope-y?" At her friends." "Oh." I frowned. I've not seen her in a week. "What friend? I can go pick her up." I say going into my bag to get my car keys back out. "She's staying the night. Her names Jade." Jade? Hope's never mentioned a Jade before. "She's a new friend they met at the park. "Did you check out her parents what if-"There's not been an attack on the two of you in nearly a year?" "Exactly that's why they might be "Azalea, love." Dad calmed me from my spiral quickly before it got out of hand. "She's fine." "Okay."

So dinner without hope, means the focus is on Damon and me. "Is Bex and Marcel here?" I asked maybe wedding talk could move the focus. "No, they're in the south of France." "Oh, I have something for Freya." I go into my bag to get the book for her. "She's at her girlfriends." 'Davina AND Kol in New Orleans I assume?" Hayley nodded. I let my head hit the countertop. "It's not going to be that bad." Hayley chuckled rubbing my back.

Dinner was not okay. Elijah, Hayley and I sat in silence whilst Dad and Damon went back and forth between each other throwing insults at each other it was horrible. I wanted to run and jump out of the third story window.
