WARNING: Mentions of suicide. It's a fairly brief mention, but still, you can skip if that's triggering. This chapter is basically just that scene in the lab where everyone is fighting.

"Lex, get up, let's go," Natasha walked by quickly.
"What's going on," the younger girl asked as she got up from her chair and walked fast to keep up with the redhead.
"Loki means to unleash the Hulk. We have to get to the lab."
"OK," Lexie breathed out.

The two women on the team along with Thor walked into the room just as Steve said: "I was wrong, Director. The world hasn't changed a bit."
"Did you know about this?" Bruce questioned, looking at Natasha, but sparing a look to Lexie as well, wondering how involved she actually was in S.H.I.E.L.D., and if she knew something about this.
"You want to think about removing yourself from this environment, Doctor?" Natasha asked in a neutral tone.
"I was in Calcutta. I was pretty well removed."
"Loki is manipulating you."
"And you've been doing what, exactly?"
"You didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you."
"Yes, and I'm not leaving because suddenly you get a little twitchy," he focused on the monitor and addressed the entire room. "I'd like to know why S.H.I.E.L.D. is using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction."
"Because of him," Fury pointed at Thor, who was still stood next to Lexie.
"Me?" the god asked.
"Last year, Earth had a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that leveled a small town. We learned that not only are we not alone, but we are hopelessly, hilariously, outgunned."
"My people want nothing but peace with your planet."
"But you're not the only people out there, are you? And you're not the only threat. The world's filling up with people who can't be matched, that can't be controlled," he turned and looked directly at Lexie when saying this. She just kept looking right at him. This wasn't news to her, that was the exact reason she was at S.H.I.E.L.D. in the first place.
"Like you controlled the Cube?" Steve asked, deliberately directing the attention away from Lexie.
"Your work with the Tesseract is what drew Loki to it, and his allies," Thor said, walking towards Fury. "It is a signal to all the realms that the Earth is ready for a higher form of war."
"A higher form?"
"I'm assuming that's bad," Lexie walked over and sat down in a chair next to Tony.
