Lexie, Steve and Sam were standing by Fury's grave as said man approached them.
"So, you've experienced this sort of thing before?" Fury asked.
"You get used to it," Steve answered.
"We've been data mining HYDRA's files. Looks like a lot of rats didn't go down with the ship. I'm headed to Europe tonight. Wanted to ask if you'd come," he looked at Steve.
"There's something I got to do first," he responded.
Fury turned his attention to Sam. "How about you Wilson? Could use a man with your abilities."
"I'm more of a soldier than a spy."
He nodded and looked at Lexie. "Williams?"
"Think I'm gonna pass," she smiled slightly. "I've had enough of S.H.I.E.L.D. and HYDRA for a while."
"All right, then." He shook each of their hands. "Anybody asks for me, tell them they can find me, right here," he nodded at the grave.
"You should be honored," Natasha walked over to them as Fury walked away. "That's about as close as he gets to saying thank you."
"Not going with him?" Steve walked to meet her as Lexie and Sam stayed back.
"Tic tac toe?" Lexie asked looking at him.
He threw his head back and let out a laugh, but nodded. The two sat down and drew in the dirt.
They played two rounds, Sam won both, but let's not talk about that. As they were laughing, Natasha walked over to them and gave Lexie a tight hug, whispering in her ear: "I'm going away for a while. Will you be okay?"
She nodded against her shoulder. "Yeah, I'll be fine. I have a plan."
The two pulled back and gave each other small smiles before Natasha turned and started walking away, only stopping to say a few last words to Steve.
Sam walked up to the Captain once she walked away, and looked at the open file in his hands. Bucky's file.
Lexie stayed where she was and pulled out her phone, finding a familiar number.
"Hello?" the voice at the other end asked.
"Hey, it's me," she said, starting to walk away. "You still got that room available?"

That's that for the Winter Soldier. There are three more chapters of this part though before I start publishing Age of Ultron. I'm planning on doing a few of these chapters at the end of each part, to cover the most important events between when the movies are set.
I've also finally started writing the AoU part of this book, finally found the energy to start. I've written seven chapters for it so far, and I really like where it's going.
