Sat by a computer on the bridge, Lexie was playing PAC-MAN while waiting for the rest of the team to arrive. She'd already reunited with Natasha, who had since gone outside to greet Captain Rogers and Dr. Banner.
Agents were roaming around, trying to locate Loki and pretty much preparing for war. She could feel the Helicarrier taking off as Agent Coulson walked in. She turned her chair towards him as he passed her and asked: "Did he sign them?"
"No, not yet," he said, before practically swooning. "He's amazing."
Lexie chuckled as he continued walking and turned back to her game. She neither liked the game very much, nor was she very good at it, but there wasn't much else to do beside work, and she definitely didn't want to do that.

A little while later, Natasha walked into the room with two men following. They quickly seperated. Natasha continuing forwards, but not before flashing Lexie a small smile and a wink, which was, of course, returned. Captain Rogers walked forwards to get a full view of the room and Dr. Banner shuffled awkwardly in the back.
Lexie abandoned her game, after losing yet again, and went towards the latter. "Hi," she greeted with a smile.
"Oh, hello," Banner replied, unsure of what the young girl was doing at the Helicarrier.
"I'm Lexie Williams," she held out her hand. "We'll be working together."
"Oh, right, you're the necromancer," he said, recalling the file he had read on her. "Bruce Banner," he shook her hand with a shy smile.
"Nice to meet you."
"Gentlemen," Director Fury addressed the two newcomers. Lexie gave the doctor a small 'bye' before walking away. As she did, she saw the Captain give Fury ten dollars, and furrowed her brows before shrugging and joining Coulson.
"We're sweeping every wirelessly accessible camera on the planet," he told Fury and Banner. "Cell phones, laptops... If it's connected to a satellite, it's eyes and ears for us."
"That's still not gonna find them in time," Natasha commented as she pulled out a bag of sour patch kids and handed it to Lexie. The young girl didn't have much of a chance to be like normal kids her age, so Natasha had made it her mission to smuggle in different kinds of candy to her, and she had taken a special liking to this particular one.
"You have to narrow your field," Banner said. "How many spectrometers do you have access to?"
"How many are there?" Fury crossed his arms.
"Call every lab you know. Tell them to put their spectrometers on the roof and calibrate them for gamma rays. I'll rough out a tracking algorithm, basic cluster recognition. At least we could rule out a few places." He could've spoken greek and Lexie wouldn't have understood much more of what he said. "Do you have somewhere for me to work?"
"Agent Romanoff, could you show Dr. Banner to his laboratory, please."
"You're gonna love it, Doc," Natasha said as the two walked away. "We got all the toys."

Lexie had gone back to her game and was munching on her sour patch kids while listening in on Coulson and Rogers' conversation. The agent was rambling on about his Captain America trading cards, and Lexie was feeling way too much secondhand embarrassment. "Near mint. Slight foxing around the edges, but..."
"Captain Rogers," Lexie intervened, not wanting to see someone she considered a friend make more of a fool out of himself. "Lexie Williams, it's great to meet you."
"Steve Rogers," he shook her hand with a smile, but furrowed his brows looking at her. "How old are you?"
"16," she replied making his eyes widen.
"You brought a kid into this!?" he turned to Coulson who raised his hands in defense.
"Not my decision, but she's got powers that we'll need in order to stop Loki," he tried to explain.
"What..." Steve was about to ask what she could do, but was interrupted by another agent.
"We got a hit. A 67% match. Wait. Cross match, 79%."
"Location?" Coulson walked towards him.
"Stuttgart, Germany. 28 Konigstrasse. He's not exactly hiding."
Captain, Williams," the pair turned towards Fury, "you're up."
As they walked out of the room, Steve turned towards her and said: "I didn't get time to read the entire file. "What can you do?" he asked curiously.
"You'll see," she said, turning to walk down another hallway and separating from the Captain, who was stood staring after her retreating form.

I love Lexie's relationship with Natasha, they're amazing. I also want her to be close to Steve, and you'll see their relationship developing more over time. Loki and Tony will appear in the next chapter. Vote and comment xx
