Lexie sat on the couch in the living room, her leg bouncing anxiously, eyes continuously drifting towards the clock on the wall.

Peter had texted her earlier that morning to tell her that this was the day he would tell Erin the truth. She'd finally find out that he was Spider-Man. That he had kept secrets from her. Lied to her.

That Lexie had lied to her.

She didn't necessarily regret the decision to keep Peters secret until he was ready to share it. She just hated being in a position where she had to keep something from her girlfriend. Erin was also big on trust, and knowing her, she'd probably feel somewhat betrayed that Lexie had kept something regarding her baby brothers safety from her.

The Parker siblings had met up for lunch in Queens at a spot they used to visit with their parents a bit over an hour ago. Lexie didn't know how long it would take, but assumed it wouldn't be long now until her most likely angry girlfriend walked through the door. Every time she heard the familiar tick tock sound from clock, it seemed like the anxiety in her only grew.

She heard the front door opened, and immediately knew there'd be trouble considering Erin didn't call out 'honey I'm home', as the two had grown accustomed to doing just because it sounded so adult and they found it funny.

She leaned forward as Erin entered to room, eyes watching her girlfriend warily, waiting for her to speak first.

"He could have died," Erin began with a tight voice.

"I wouldn't have let that happen," Lexie sighed helplessly, standing up.

"That's not the point!" he voice rose. "The point is that you brought him into a dangerous situation. The point is that even though he wants to be a superhero and save the world, he shouldn't have to."

"He wanted to help! You know what he's like."

"He's a kid!"

"Erin!" Lexie tried to stop the fighting, and continued speaking with an even voice. "You know I wouldn't have brought him into that if I thought something would happen to him. This was a fight against the other Avengers, they wouldn't hurt a kid... Not too badly at least," she trailed off, but noticed Erin was about to get fired up again. "What I'm trying to say... is that there is no way I'd let anything happen to him."

Erin was silent. The only sound in the room was from the hands of the clock moving. She eventually spoke up with a sad voice. "You know... I knew something was wrong. I knew you two were keeping something from me, and I've noticed the changes in Peter this past half year. But I never would've expected this... You lied to me."

"Erin..."

"No. You lied... Peter's never been able to keep anything from me, I knew he'd tell me whatever it was eventually. But you're my girlfriend. We've been together for years, we live together, and I'm sure that one day, we'll even get married. It's one thing that Peter lied to me. He's a teenager and my brother, so I should probably expect him to lie every once in a while. But I've trusted you from day one to be honest with me. And you lied to me about one of the most important things in my life."
