Not much time had passed at all since Lexie had bought the ring and seen Thor. She didn't know how everything with him, Loki and his father had worked out, but hoped he was alright and would come back to earth soon.
She'd put the ring in her nightstand drawer just like she'd told him she would, but hadn't proposed yet. She was still trying to figure out when and how to do it.
But she wasn't in too much of a rush. They had all the time in the world, but she did want to do it soon because she wanted to be able to call Erin her fiancée and eventually wife.
It was currently a Tuesday morning and since Erin didn't have classes that day, they slept in and were now in the kitchen making breakfast. Erin was on pancake duty and Lexie was fixing breakfast for Evie.
"So what do you think we should do today?" Lexie asked as she scratched Evies head.
Erin was silent for a few seconds while she though. "Maybe we could just get some stuff done 'round here and go for a walk in the park later."
"Sounds good," she nodded and walked up behind Erin as she was flipping a pancake, and wrapped her arms around her waist, placing small kisses on her neck. "How long 'till it's done?"
"You are such an impatient child!" Erin scoffed.
"Ass," Lexie called her grumpily, but she was still smiling.
"You love my ass."
"Yeah, I do." She cheekily smacked it lightly, before moving to start setting the table.
They were done pretty much the same time and were about to sit down the eat. Lexie put the jam down and Erin had put all the pancakes on a plate and turned around to set it down on the table when she let out a small shout.
"Holy shit!"
"What?!" Lexie exclaimed and turned to look where Erin was looking out the window. Not too far from their apartment, a giant, round spaceship was floating just above the city. "Holy shit," she whined exasperatedly.
"Is that..?" Erin was still gaping, while holding the plate of pancakes in the hand.
"Yup," Lexie nodded and stood up. She quickly walked into their bedroom, grabbed a pair of stretchy jeans as well as her weapons, and walked back out into the kitchen. "Fucking aliens are back." She sighed. "I hate aliens so much." She walked over to Erin, moved the plate of pancakes onto the table, placed her fingers on her chin and turned her head towards her.
Erin focused on Lexie and realized what she was about to do. "No, Lex..."
"I know," she apologized. She leaned forwards and pressed a kiss to her lips. "I love you."
"I love you too."
"I'll see you in a bit, okay?"
"Yeah," Erin nodded, trusting Lexies word on that everything would be okay and she'd be back home in no time. "See you in a bit."
