The party was starting to die down, people were leaving and only the Avengers along with their close friends remained.

Erin meeting the team had gone well, aside from a small incident where she let her competitive side come to light and hit Sam with the cue stick when they were playing pool. Especially Thor had taken a liking to her and they teamed up i stealing as many Pop-Tarts from the kitchen without being caught. Unfortunately, they were no black widows, and everyone noticed what they were doing, but turned a blind eye.

"But it's a trick," Clint said, twirling a drumstick while talking about Thors hammer.

"No, no, it's much more than that," Thor retaliated.

"'Ah, whosever be he worthy shall haveth the power'," Clint did an impression of Thor speaking. "Whatever, man! It's a trick."

"Please, be my guest," Thor gestured to the hammer.

"Come on," Tony muttered in encouragement.

"Really?" Clint asked.

"Yeah."

"Oh, this is gonna be beautiful," Rhodey said.

"Clint, you've had a tough week. We won't hold it against you if you can't get it up."

"We believe in you, Clint," Lexie grinned while Erin quietly giggled next to her, having had a few glasses of champagne too much.

"You know I've seen this before, right?" Clint told Thor, accepting the challenge. He tried to lift the hammer and let out a grunt, but it didn't move and inch. "I still don't know how you do it!" he laughed.

"Smell the silent judgement?" Tony asked.

"Please, Stark, by all means," Clint invited. Tony stood up and cleared his throat.

"Okay," Hill said.

"Uh-oh," Rhodey said.

"Never one to shrink from an honest challenge," Tony said making Lexie let out a small laugh, thinking back to the time they had a cook-off that ended in several small fires and Pepper banning them from the kitchen for a month.

"Get after it," Clint said.

"It's physics," Tony explained.

"Physics."

"Right, so, if I lift it, I then rule Asgard?"

"That'd be something," Lexie muttered.

"Yes, of course," Thor responded to Tonys question.

"I will be reinstituting prima nocta," he tried to lift it, but was unsuccessful. "I'll be right back," he left, but soon came back wearing the hand part of the iron man suit, trying again. It didn't move. He then got Rhodey to help, but so far remained unsuccessful.
