"A date?" Tony smirked.

Lexie and Erin had known each other for a few months now and had only grown closer. They hung out in Central Park, at Delmar's, explored the city, and had sleepovers at the tower. Lexie was yet to meet Erins family, but she'd learnt a lot about them. It was already like the two girls were dating, but they hadn't had an official one yet. They hadn't even kissed or anything yet, neither of them had mustered up the courage to make the first move. Lexie had wanted to ask Erin out for a while, but had no idea how to. She was still learning social codes and hadn't figured out the romance part just yet. Erin had been the one to ask. It was very simple. They were just hanging out in the park one day and she just asked straight-forward. Lexie, of course, said yes.

Part of her regretted that now because Tony was teasing her, and she was panicking and overthinking everything.

"Yes, a date!" she responded, holding up another outfit. "What about this?" It was a fairly long red dress that was meant for every-day use, but with the right accessories, could pass as a date outfit.

"It's pretty," he nodded before sighing happily. "Ah, the first date. That's always fun," he paused for a second. "Hey. Little piece of advice. Don't order anything with a lot of garlic. I know it tastes good, but you don't want garlic breath by the end of your date, trust me."

"But I love garlic bread," she frowned. "And what would happen at the end of the date?"

"Oh god, I always forget you were raised by emotionless robots who didn't teach you anything useful."

"I know how to kill someone with a teaspoon."

"What?" he squinted at her.

"Hi, what's going on?" Pepper walked in seeing Lexies room a mess with clothes everywhere, ending their conversation, but Tony gave her a look that said 'we'll talk about this later'.

He turned to Pepper and grinned, singing: "Lexie and Erin sittin' in a tree..."

"Really?!" Pepper asked excitedly.

"Yeah," Lexie nodded and pouted slightly. "We're meeting up in an hour and I have nothing to wear," she pointed to the pile of clothes on the floor.

"Okay, I'll help you," Pepper chuckled and started sorting through the pile, pulling out a few outfits every now and then. After a little time had passed she stood up, showing Lexie three options. "How about any of these?"

"I like that one," she pointed at a simple summer dress that reached her mid-thigh, had a floral pattern, loose sleeves and a slightly deeper neckline than what she was used to.

"Okay, let's get you ready," Pepper clapped her hands once before turning to Tony. "You can get out now, I've got this covered."

"Fine," he groaned and rolled off the bed before walking out.
