- Lola's POV -
I sat on the leather chairs outside the the church by myself. It was only 11:00am and I was already fed up with my parents constantly pestering me.
I pulled out my phone from my hand bag and texted Lilah;
"Hey Lils, how's your head this morning? Xx"
I sat back in the chair and started to think about the bar man again. The colour of his eyes and how when I looked into them I forgot that I even existed. I was so lost in thought until the vibration of my phone made me jump, it was Lilah texting me back.
"Hi Lo! Yes I am dying, you were right. Can I come round to your house later? Xx"
I replied to her text message with a simple yes. I was excited to see the state she was in. You can tell we're best friends, right?
"Um excuse me?" I snobby voice said beside me. I looked up to see Callum standing over me. I stood up and smiled at him.
"Your father told me to come and fetch you. Church is beginning" He said with a grin before walking off. His voice gave me a headache. I sighed and grabbed my bag then headed into church to sit down beside my mum and dad.
I never listen or take part at all in church, I even refuse to sing. Everyone stands up and sings a boring hymn that they have already sang a thousand times and they all sound like they're a falling asleep as each line of the song goes by.
I really needed out of here.
- Lilah's POV -
After texting Lola I got out of bed and quickly done my hair and make up, threw on a pair of joggers and a hoodie and smiled at myself in the mirror.
No one seemed to be home and it was already 12:30pm, so I grabbed my phone and called Ruby.
"Hey Ruby! It's me Lilah" I said while putting my feet up on the table and biting into an apple.
"Hey Lils! How's your head feeling?" She said with a slight laugh to her voice, I rolled my eyes.
"Terrible like always. What about you?"
"The same. I don't think we'll be going out today" She said. We began to talk about random things and celebrities.
"Hey by the way. Where did you and Lola go after we left you last night?" Ruby asked. I thought for a moment, but I had no idea.
"I'll ask her later. I'm going to her house".
- Lola's POV -
We arrived home from church to see Lilah sitting at my door step.
"Just the gal I wanted to see!" She shouted before hugging me. My mum and dad walked up behind us.
"Did you have a good night last night Lilah?" My mum asked with a smile on her face.
"Well, what I can remember of it I did" Lilah said as she began to laugh. I hit her forcefully and smiled at my mum. My dad narrowed his eyes at us both then they walked into the house.
"Okay so, I have a question" Lilah said as soon as we were alone. I raised an eyebrow at her.
"Which is?"
"Where did we go last night after the fancy restaurant?" She asked before tilting her head. I could feel my cheeks burning up again.
"You dragged me into a bar and we sat there for a while.. That's all" I said quickly before looking away from her.
"Do you remember what the bar was called?"
"Nope" I responded quietly. She's up to something, I know she is.
"Well then, I guess my plan has failed" Lilah said before shrugging her shoulders and slowly walking away from me.
"Wait! What plan?" I shouted. She stopped walking and turned around with an evil grin on her face.
"You think I forgot how you stared at the bar man? That's the only thing I remember Lola!" She shouted all over the street. I shushed her as my cheeks went bright red.
"But my plan is.... "
