- Lola's POV -
I walked through the front door of my house with a smile on my face. My mum stood in the living room staring at me weirdly.
"What?" I asked. She laughed slightly.
"You're never smiling. Ever" She said straight to the point. I ignored her and ran up to my bedroom.
I'm really excited for this weekend as one of my best friends is coming down to where I live. He lives a few hours away so we don't get to see each other much, and he is obviously not aloud to stay in my house so he stays in a motel not far from where my house is.
And no, the reason he isn't aloud to stay in my house is not because he is a boy. It's because he's gay and of course my parents are against that. It really upsets me.
I'm excited to see him though.. And tell him all about the bar man, Joseph.
"Lola! Lilah is at the door!" My mum shouted up the stairs.
"Send her up!" I shouted back to her, moments later Lilah burst through my bedroom door.
"What's he like? Did you kiss? What's his smile like? What does he talk like? Does he smell nice? Does-"
"OH MY GOD LILAH SHUT UP!" I shouted loudly while laughing. She jumped on my bed in excitement.
"Answer the questions!" She is very impatient.
"He is amazing. No, we didn't kiss. His smile is perfect. I didn't sniff him? And you talked to him on Saturday night.."
"I can't remember that! Obviously!" She shouted, I rolled my eyes. Does she think we live in a fantasy land? No guy like that would ever go for a girl like me. I sighed while staring at the wall.
"Where is my thank you?" Lilah said with her arms crossed.
"Thank you for telling me the street name. You're a smart drunk for remembering where it was" I said while nodding. She smiled proudly.
"I know babe, I know"
Lilah stayed for hours. Every chance she could get she brought up Joseph and how cute of a couple we would be. And every time she did I reminded her that this was real life and not a disney princess movie. She always suspects the best and that's what I love about her.
"I should go, I have a tone of course work to be doing. Text me later!" Lilah said happily before hugging me tight and leaving. I waved as she walked down the street then closed my front door and sighed. I wonder what he is doing right now.
Should I go back there tomorrow?
No that's such a stupid idea, he would get fed up of my face.
But what if he didn't?
What if he likes me?
He doesn't like you Lola! You're just some random girl who ordered orange juice!
Maybe I should go back tomorrow..
It's worth a shot.
Yeah, I'm going to do it.
