- Lola's POV -
I pushed open the huge double doors which led into the bar. My heart was pounding with every move I made.
A moment of arguments in my head passed, until I realised I was standing inside the bar. It was emptier than it was on Saturday night. There were only 4 people sitting in the corner chatting.
I sat down on the seat closest to the door and set my bag down beside me, there seemed to be no body behind the bar. Until suddenly the doors behind the bar burst open and out came the guy I had been dreaming about the past two days.
He was singing to the song on the radio, like he thought no body was in the bar. The people sitting in the corner began to laugh and he turned bright red.
"Hey Joseph, you should go on one of those talent shows!" One of the men shouted, he rolled his eyes and looked away. Until we locked eye contact.
I should've looked away faster than I did but I couldn't, I felt aggressive butterflies in my stomach as soon as he looked at me.
"Hey, come sit at the bar" He shouted across the room at me. I started to shake violently as I lifted up my bag and approached him behind the bar. I sat down on the closest barstool and he smiled at me.
"What would you like to drink?" He asked in that perfect accent, my heart melted. I felt like I couldn't speak.. SAY SOMETHING LOLA!!
"Umm I-I'll have an orange juice please" I stuttered before glancing up at him. He nodded and walked away. Ugh, why is he so perfect.
I can't believe I'm doing this, I can't believe I'm here.
He came back a moment later with an orange juice with a little pink umbrella attached to the glass, I looked up and him trying not to laugh.
"What? It's a cute umbrella!" He shouted with a smile, I laughed quietly and nodded in agreement. I kept my head down because my cheeks were strawberry coloured once again and strawberry was not a nice look on me.
A minute later a crowd of people came into the bar so I decided to leave. I left my money on the bar, stole the cute umbrella and left quickly, missing his face as soon as I looked away.
I grabbed my phone from my back pocket and called Lilah.
"LILAH YOU WILL NEVER GUESS WHAT HAPPENED" I shouted down the phone to her as soon as she picked up.
"DID YOU FUCK HIM?" She squealed, I laughed loudly.
"No, I ordered an orange juice and he noticed me. HE KNOWS I EXIST" I shouted with happiness as I rushed to get the next train.
"I'm glad you did. I knew you liked him Lola"
"Stop talking about it alright!"
"No! You never crush on anybody, this is special"
I rolled my eyes.
"I'll see you later okay? Give me all the details then" She said.
"Of course. See you then!" I said happily before hanging up. This has been a good day.
