Tony's P.O.V.

"Where's Rayden?", I asked. Rhett shrugged,

"Probably hiding. He knows what day it is."

"I know.", I sighed. Rayden was the youngest of the R boys living with us. Rhett, then Ryder, then Rayden. They used to have a fourth brother, Raymond, between Ryder and Rayden, but he committed suicide at college a few years back. Ever since then, the others had lived with us completely and Rayden had kinda shut down.

"He's out back.", Jake said from the dining room. I sighed,

"Okay. Thanks." I walked out the back door, spotting Rayden's black hoodie in a tree. I huffed a little before climbing up and sitting next to him.

"You found me.", he muttered, closing his book.

"You know better than to hide from me Rayden." He messed with his hoodie sleeves nervously,

"I-I don't wanna Tony."

"I know bud. But you don't get a choice. It's the hardest part of my job and I hate it, but it has to be done. Now let's go before you're in real trouble."

~~~~
Rayden shook as I slowly circled him in the garage. Sweat dripped from his shaggy brown hair onto the black blindfold as he instinctively pulled at the tight restraints.
"Names.", I demanded, my voice much deeper than usual.
"N-N-No.", he choked out, trembling. I slammed my hand on the table hard, making him jump,
"I'll fucking kill you." He hesitated, knowing what was next,
"I-I-I don't ca-care." I pretended to load the gun in front of me before pressing the empty barrel to his temple,
"Tell me. Last chance."
"N-No."
"Now!", I barked, making him jump again.
"No-No! I-I won't te-tell you."
"Fine." I pulled the trigger as the gun fired a blank and the timer went off, signaling the end of the hour. Once a month, I put Rayden in the garage and pretended he'd been taken for information. It was to train him what to do in that situation and how to stall so we could help him. I had to know my guys wouldn't give each other up in any situation. I'd done it with the others, Rayden was just the youngest.
"Please untie me.", Rayden whispered.
"I got it kid. You did really good.", I said doing so. I left his blindfold on until we got inside, not wanting him to know where I took him. "There. You okay?", I asked, taking it off as we stood in the kitchen. He nodded a little bit,
"I'm fine." He shakily walked off to the living room as I followed, sitting next to him on the couch. I laid my hand on his back as he burst into tears.
"Shit. No, no it's okay kid. You're alright.", I said gently, trying to console him.
"I-I'm-I'm we-weak!", he sobbed hysterically.
"Okay, hey, hey, you gotta calm down kid. Breathe." Once he had calmed down considerably, I held his face in my hands, "You are not weak Rayden. You're our weakness, yes, but you yourself have never been weak and you never will be."
"Wh-What'd you mean?"
"If someone were to get taken, it would be you. You're the youngest, they don't know about V, and if they had you, they know we'd do anything to get you back. But, they also think that you're going to crack easily and I won't let that happen. If you have information they want and they have you, they'll keep you alive. If you give them what they want, they will kill you. I absolutely hate doing that to you, I really do. I dread it every single month but I have to keep you and everyone else safe and to do that, sometimes I have to be an asshole."
"I-I know it just- It just scares me."
"I know. But you should be scared. If you weren't, I'd be worried. It's okay to be upset but you need to let me try and fix it, especially because I caused it."
"Okay." He laid his hand on my shoulder as I wrapped my arms around him. It wasn't long before he was asleep, shaking every once in awhile.
"He okay?", Rhett asked softly as he came in. I shrugged,
"Were you?"
"I am now."
"He will be too." Rhett gently reached down, pulling Rayden's left sleeve up a little bit to show a few deep cuts in his arm,
"I don't really know what to do. He told me a few days ago."
"We'll watch him. And-And if he wants or need to, we can get him help." Rhett nodded, sitting next to me,
"I-I feel like I fucked up Tony."
"You didn't. Some people just feel like this sometimes."
~~~~

"Boys! Wake up!", I yelled up the stairs.

"Fuck off!", Landon was the only one to respond. I let out a breath as the front door opened,

"So much fucking yelling.", Tina grumbled. Tina was my best friend and not biological twin.

"They won't get up." She groaned, standing next to me,

"Boys! Get your asses down here! Now!", she yelled. There was loud scrambling before all seven boys were in the kitchen. I rolled my eyes,

"Every fucking time."

"Do you have vodka?"

"It's seven in the morning Tina."

"Do you have it or not?"

"Freezer.", I sighed, looking at the table and seeing a missing kid. "Where's V?"

"Says she's not going.", Max said.

"Well I don't wanna go either.", Rayden complained.

"If Rayden isn't going, I'm sure as hell not either.", Ryder said.

"Boys you are both going to school.", Rhett said sternly, "Your education is important."

"Bullshit.", Rayden muttered.

"Rayden!", Rhett and I scolded. Ryder snickered as I looked to him,

"Watch it. Do you both seriously want to get your asses beat this early in the morning?" They both stayed quiet. "Why don't you want to go?"

"I-I have a big presentation and an exam and I-I'd really just feel better if I had an extra day to work and study.", Ryder said softly.

"Okay. Rayden?", Rhett asked. He shrugged, looking away. "Give me a reason or you're going."

"He doesn't wanna get beat up again.", Landon muttered.

"Shut the fuck up Landon!", Rayden exploded.

"Hey! That's enough!", Rhett scolded, silencing him, "Is that true? Are you getting beat up?" He stayed quiet.

"Rayden you know better than to hide that shit from us.", I said softly.

"I-I'm sorry.", he whispered, "I-I just didn't want you guys to freak out."

"We aren't freaking out." Rhett nodded,

"You can both stay home. But Rayden we will be talking about your outburst, hiding important shit from us and your attitude and cursing later. All of it needs to stop."

"Yes sir. I-I'm gonna go lay down."

"That's fine kid."
