Mia's P.O.V.
"What'd you think of Chase?", I asked daddy after Zach had picked him up.
"I think he's a really messed up kid but also a fantastic one."
"Good."
"You like him."
"He-He's really sweet to me."
"Ooo, a boy?", Roxy asked coming in and kissing daddy.
"A boy.", he rolled his eyes. She kicked off her stilettos and hung up her coat, leaving her in a leather mini skirt and tube top. "How was work love?"
"Great. Think I made about eight hundred.", she said laying a stack of bills on the counter and beginning to count it.
"That's my girl."
"Are you in the mafia?", I laughed. She did too,
"Nope. Nurse by day, stripper by night lovely." I looked to daddy,
"You're just, fine with that?"
"She's an adult. No one touches her and I trust her."
"Cool! I can't wait to be a stripper." He laughed,
"Absolutely not."
"But-"
"You are my daughter, Roxy is my girlfriend. When you're an adult, if you love... exotic dancing... and make good money, I will support you as usual. From afar. I always do."
"Even... with a boyfriend?" He sighed,
"I guess."

Chase helped collect plates from dinner and followed me to the kitchen. Mia's laugh rang through the house as he smiled,
"I-I have a question."
"What's up kid?"
"Can-Can I take Mia on a date?" I smiled,
"It's about time. She never shuts up about you."
"R-Really?", he laughed.
"Really. And it means a lot to me that you asked me first. It will to her too." He shrugged,
"You guys are close. I know how much you and your approval mean to her. And I-I really look up to you too. I don't wanna mess anything up."
"You won't kid. You're already family."
Zach's P.O.V.
Carl Austins was on his last warning.
"Austins!", I snapped, gently pulling the small girl away from him, "Why the fuck are you screaming at her like that? She's a child."
"The bitch doesn't listen to anyone."
"Pack your shit. Get out." The disciplinary school was two blocks from the house. It was a three story live-in facility for most, and it was mostly boys. "C'mere sweetheart.", I said softly, taking the girl back to the kitchen, "When was the last time you ate?"
"I-I don't deserve to eat.", she whispered.
"You do. That wasn't my question."
"T-Two days I think." I made her a light sandwich and a smoothie handing her both and a pill as I sat her at the small table,
"All of this needs to be in your body now."
"W-What is this?", she asked, holding the pill.
"It's just a vitamin. You're really malnourished and you look like you're gonna pass out."
