Grayson's P.O.V.

Dani called me in the middle of the night.

"Yeah?"

"Can you come get me? Rj threw a party and I-I didn't sign up for this."

"Yep, I'm on my way kid."

Dani drunkenly swayed to the car as I stopped outside Rj's.

"Thanks.", he slurred, getting into the passenger seat.

"Sure kid. Stay here." I got out of the car and stormed towards the house, "Ryder Daniels!", I boomed, "Car, right now." He sighed, tossing his drink and following me,

"Great."

Dani went to bed when we got home as Ryder sat on the couch.

"Your brother would kill you.", I said sternly.

"I-I know."

"What were you thinking?" He shrugged, trying to cover his arms where I saw many new cuts. I handed him a hoodie, "Really kid, what's going on?"

"It-It's just been a hard week." I sat next to him,

"And have you talked to Zayn about it?" His breathing became shallow as he nervously messed with the hoodie sleeves,

"N-No. And I-I know you're going to but please, please don't tell him about this. He-He's already getting rid of me."

"What? Why would you say that?"

"I-I heard him talking to Starr and telling her how easy Evana was. That means I'm the difficult one. I-I've been trying really hard to do better Grayson. I wanna be the easy one. He-He hasn't really noticed. I'm just not trying hard enough I guess."

"Kid, getting drunk and hurting yourself doesn't help anyone. I know Zayn's been really busy and distracted lately. And I know you feel neglected because of that but I'm always here too, alright? I'm upset about your choices tonight, but I'm really proud of you for trying so hard with everything."

Dani crawled into bed the second Ella left for work.

"How's your hangover?", I asked tiredly. He groaned,

"I barely even drank."
