Grayson's P.O.V.

I followed Luke to the front door, which he opened to find a cop and a girl who's eyes stayed on the doorstep.

"Didn't get far.", the cop said. Luke sighed,

"Thanks Kevin. Inside, now.", he said sternly to the girl. She walked in as he closed the door and glared at her, "Nice trip?", he snapped.

"Fuck you Luke."

"Cuss at me again and you'll eat soap."

"At least it's something.", she muttered. He laid his hands on her shoulders,

"Hey, I'm trying, alright?" She nodded a little. "Go to the living room. We will be having a long talk about this later."

"I hate you sometimes."

"Don't care. I still love you regardless." She went to leave but paused, tossing him her torn up backpack,

"Here." He opened it to find a ton of apples,

"Starr-"

"I snuck into the orchard. I'm sorry."

"Baby we talked about you stealing. I can't have you ending up in jail."

"You steal and you're the one we need Luke." He sighed,

"I-I know. C'mere.", he said hugging her tightly, "I didn't think you'd come back my little Annie child." She shrugged,

"I missed you I guess."

"I missed you too. I guess.", he joked, "Go help Jay." She left as he turned to me, "Starr. She runs off a lot but I-I didn't think she'd be back this time. She's thirteen and showed up about two years ago. She was born into sex trafficking and when her mom died, she ran. I don't want you alone with her. She's terrified of all men and she'll freak out."

"Okay."

Dylan and Jaylyn took Delilah to the hospital when he got back, leaving Luke and I to feed the babies as the others scarfed down food.

"Guys, slow down or you'll get sick. It's not going anywhere, I promise.", Luke said softly.

"Luke's right. There's plenty and will continue to be plenty from now on." Luke went to the living room as I followed,

"So now what?", he asked.

"I'll hire some people to fix this place up. But, you guys can't be here when they are so we'll go get some beds and stuff and you can stay with me until it's done."

"A-Are you sure?"

"Of course. There's only ten of you."

That night, I led Mia and Bea to their room, then Jacob and Daniel to theirs, and Luke and Jaylyn to theirs,

"I put the cribs in here for now but they can always be moved."

"It's perfect. Thank you.", Jaylyn said softly, laying in the bed. I put Rosa in her crib as Luke laid down Alek,

"Thanks Grayson."

"Don't mention it." I turned to Starr, who'd barely talked to me, "C'mon." She followed me down the hall as Luke stood in their doorway, making sure she was alright. "This is your room." She walked into the simple bedroom, smiling softly,

"And D's?"

"I'm gonna put D wherever she's best at. Right now I have her with Mia and Bea."

"Wait, you're saying this is my room? Like just for me!?"
