Cameron's P.O.V.

As much as I loved him, I kinda hated it when Kaden visited.

"K!", Miles cheered, hugging him tightly.

"Hey kid!"

"Guess what!"

"What!?", Kaden asked, matching his excitement.

"Alex and Cam adopted me!" Kaden stopped as I avoided his cold glare,

"Really? That's great Miles!" Miles left as I looked to Kaden,

"We had every intention of telling you Kade. It just didn't seem like a phone call situation."

"Is this really a good idea you guys?"

"He can't make it on his own Kade.", Alex cut in, "Every time he got close to leaving, he'd ruin it on purpose. He needs to be here."

"Would you have put me on the streets with how I was?", I asked.

"Of course not but-"

"We're not throwing Miles out either."

"Do not interrupt me Cameron.", Kaden scolded, making my stomach flip.

"I'm sorry. But it's already done Kade. We love you and we will always be grateful for your advice and support and we do need you. But we're adults too now. This was the right decision and if it goes bad, that's on us."

"Cam is right.", Alex said softly, "You don't know everything we've been through with him. He needs to be here. With us." I nodded,

"We're his people just like you're Mia's person and our person."

"I-I am?", he asked.

"Yeah."

"You and each other.", Alex added. He sighed,

"I guess I did alright with you boys."

"Are-Are we doing okay?"

"You always do fine." And I'm always so nervous.

Kaden's P.O.V.

Cameron was always on edge when I came to check on them. It was a lot of pressure on him to take over the home for me, but I think he was doing a better job than I did.

"Harper?", I called when I walked into his empty room.

"In here!" I followed his voice down the hall to Miles's room, finding them hanging things on the wall,

"You're... rooming with Miles?" He nodded, smiling big,

"Yeah. He's my brother."

"Miles, go watch T.V. for a minute.", I said, my eyes on Harper. Miles left as harper gulped,

"Did-Did I do something wrong?"

"Are you going to? You've never liked Miles." He sighed,

"Look the-the guys really changed me. I-I guess I've always been attached to the kid but I was taught I couldn't express that or anything. I never knew I could love other people. But I can and I love Miles because he's my brother and I-I treated him terribly. I'll spend my whole life making it up to him if I have to." Miles bolted back into the room, hugging him tightly,

"It's okay. I forgive you Harp." Harper smiled, relaxing as the words lifted the weight from his shoulders.

"Thanks kid."

"Miles, I told you to go watch T.V. so I could talk to Harper alone. Do not make me tell you again young man."

"Yes sir. Sorry.", he chirped, leaving and closing the door.
