"Congrats, Mr. Alvarez" Mr. Narciso greeted me. I smiled triumphantly. May bago kasi kaming foreign investor from Indonesia at malaki 'tong break. Kaya busy ako ngayong week.
Lumabas na ako at dumiretso sa office.
"Gia, may appointment ba ako tonight?" I asked my secretary.
She shook her head. "Wala po"
"Good. Can I go home now?"
"Opo naman po, sir"
Natawa ako saka siya tinapik sa balikat. "Okay, thanks. You may now go home too as long as you've finished the manuscript ha?"
"Okay"
Lumabas na ako saka pasakay na sana ng elevator when I saw Kylie inside. Gandang timing naman oh!
"Hi" I greeted then went inside.
"What are you doing here?"
"I just talked to your Management. Dept head, if she can manage financially the project while I'm away for a week or more"
"Aalis ka?" I asked her but she just ignored the question.
Teka, aalis nga siya? While she was away daw? Edi, aalis nga.
"May dala kang car?"
She looked at me. "Wala but papasundo ako sa driver"
"Nag-dinner ka na?"
"Not yet. Sa bahay na"
I grinned at her. Its my time to shine.
"Come on, let's have dinner saka ihahatid kita"
"Talaga? Baka nakakaabala na ako ha?"
Ikaw? Nakakaabala? No way! Gusto ko rin namang makabawi sa kanya. I've been so busy and I didn't even meet her for at least a week. Maybe, universe played a drop-and-click game for us. And the scorer? Destiny, indeed.
"Nope, I'm sure papayag rin si Tito" I said as we went out.
Natawa siya ng bahagya. "Dinamay mo pa si Dad. You sure?"
"Of course not. Halika na" I opened the shotgun seat and let her in. Napangiti naman ako.

"Where do you want to eat?"
"I'm craving for Yellow cab's pizza and carbonara" she simply stated as she roamed her eyes on the mall. Dinala ko siya sa Rockwell's since ito lang naman ang pinaka-malapit na mall.
"Let's go"
Pinaupo ko muna si Kylie sa pang-dalawahang table at saka ako nag-order. I ordered the Italian style pizza na thin crust saka dalawang creamy carbonara and a soda.
Pagkapunta ko sa table ay nakita ko siyang hawak ang phone ko while meanly staring at it.
"Hey, ba't hawak mo 'yan?" inilapag ko ang tray. Ibinalik naman niya sa'kin ang phone ko. The phone is unlocked.
"Nothing. Your phone ringed"
Nagsimula na kaming kumain.
"Anong nakita mo?"
She grinned slowly. "Well, nothing except for the pornographic videos--"
"What the heck?!" muntik na akong mabulunan sa kinain kong carbonara, "Wala ako niyan! That's disgusting!"
