Zoey's Pov:

And we are back to school. It's Monday morning and I am a little bit more refreshed than usual. I had my head up a little bit higher than usual, my eyes are completely open, and I'm ready to seize the day!

I walked towards my locker to see a concerned Felix laying on my locker.

"Hey," I said.

"Hey," He responded.

He grabbed my arm and dragged me to an empty classroom.

"Why are we in an empty classroom?" I asked him curiously

"Um, nothing really. It's just that. Um. Well. Are you ok?"

I nodded my head. Then shook my head right after.

He tilted his head in confusion.

"Well, it's not that simple. I wanted to tell you face to face, then everything became complicated, so I wrote it in a poem."

"Oh?"

I nodded my head. "Yeah."

"Do you mind if I read the poem?"

I took out my phone and went to the Notes app, opened the poem, and gave my phone to Felix.

Felix's Pov:

For girls, fathers show what type of man you need in your life.

They teach us how to love and respect ourselves

They teach us how to be independent

They also teach us to work hard for anything

Because you earn things in life.

Well, not mine.

My father comes and goes from time to time.

One day we're talking on the phone,

Another day, I wouldn't hear from him.

Those days would go to weeks

Then months.

Every day when I don't hear from him,

I worry if he's all right.

But he never fails to see me for a couple of hours every 6 months.

Whenever he sees me, he always tears me down.

You may think I'm crazy.

You may think I'm too sensitive

You also may think I'm messed up

To be honest, you might be right.

But let me tell you what he actually does.

Maybe you'll understand a reason why I'm a wreck

He would talk about the way I look

For example, my body and the way I dress.

He would always ask for money.
