Chapter 42

Felix's Pov:

I stared at Zoey's house, in a state of shock.

What just happened?

I backed out of the driveway with tears swelling up.

About 5 minutes later, I pulled into a parking lot and sat for a while. I hit my wheel in frustration, and my tears started flowing. I hit my face with the wheel and started sobbing.

Knock knock knock.

I looked up at my window. It was Jisung. I rolled down my window.

"Are you ok?" He asked

"Get in the car," I said

"Ok, but I can't stay for that long,"

"That's fine,"

He walked around the car, opened the passenger door, and sat down.

"So, what's wrong?" He asked

"I hurt Zoey," I said

"Huh?"

"I was upset with Zoey, and I snapped at her. She left mad and here I am. A complete mess,"

"Why were you... Ohhh,"

I nodded my head. "Yeah, I know, it's very childish, but I felt some type of way,"

"Felix, you're my dude and everything, but she did that because you always worry about her and take care of her. It was just a dream that would never happen. It's not a big deal,"

"I know. It was dumb. I should apologize to her," I said while grabbing my phone.

"No, you should do it face to face. It would be easier to understand the context,"

I put my phone down. "Yeah, you're right,"

"I know,"

I rolled my eyes.

"Well, I have to go. I hope that everything will turn out right," He said while opening the door

"Thanks,"

He nodded his head.

I sighed and drove back home.

Zoey's Pov:

I woke up with a text message saying that class was canceled today because of a family emergency.

I closed my phone and tried to go back to sleep. About 5 minutes later, I got a text from Felix.

F-Hey

I looked at the message and turned off my phone.

Rinnngggg

It was Felix again. I groaned. I declined the call.

F- Zoe, please answer

I ignored his text again. I wrapped myself with my warm black bed sheets in frustration.

My phone rang again.

I swear if it's Felix, I'm about to go off.

I looked at my phone. It was my mom. I answered the phone.

"Hey, mom," I said

"Good Morning!" She said cheerfully

"You sound very chipper today,"

"Yeah. So, Rob and I won't be home until tomorrow night. Is that ok?"

"Yeah, that's fine,"

"Ok, I'll send you and Tre some money to buy some food,"
