Chapter 40

Zoey's Pov:

"Huh?" I said while looking around the room. It was pure white. I looked at my arms, which had IVs.

"What happened? Why am I here? Where is Felix?"

"Felix is gone," I hear a voice echoing that sounded very familiar.

"Tiffany? Is-is that you?"

"You took Felix away from me. If I can't have him, then no one can! Goodbye, Sleeping Beauty. Have fun in Hell,"

She walked closer while she was laughing.

I gasped loudly and rose, sitting on the bed. I looked and touched my arms. No IV's attached.

I sighed and laid back down, staring at the ceiling. I covered my face with covering my arms and took deep breaths. I rolled over to the other side of my bed and picked up my phone to see the time. It was 6:30 in the morning on a Friday. I have about half an hour left until I have to get ready for school.

I got out of bed slowly and went to the bathroom. I turned on the water and splashed my face to wake up.

Knock, knock, knock

"Zoe?" I hear a soft voice calling my name

I opened the door. It was my mom.

"Yes?"

"You're usually not up this early. Is everything ok?" She asked.

"Yeah. I'm fine. Are you and Rob ok?"

"Yeah, everything is fine. I just want to let you know that Rob and I won't be here today and tomorrow, so you know the rules,"

"Yes, ma'am,"

"Ok. Now hurry up. I got to get ready for work,"

"Yes, ma'am,"

I walked into school walking like a zombie with my head down. I went to my locker and put my jacket in my locker and closed the beige locker and sat on the floor. I lowered my head and covered them with my arms, slowly breathing in and out. Not even a minute later, I felt someone touching my knee. I looked up and to my left to see that it was Jisung sitting right next to me.

"Are you ok?" He asked

I smiled and nodded.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just exhausted. I woke up early. I need sleep,"

"I understand. Do you need to be alone and stay on the floor? Or do you want to walk around?"

"I'll walk around the building,"

"Ok, do you need me, or do you wanna walk by yourself?" He said while standing up.

"I would like a friend to walk with me,"

He reached his hands out, gesturing to help me get off the floor. I accepted his gesture and stood up with his help and walked around.

"So how are you and Rachel?" I asked Jisung.

"Everything is going well. Sorry that I took her away from you,"

I laughed.

"Don't worry about it. As long as she's happy, I'm happy,"

He smiled.

"You are a great friend. How are you and Felix?"

"I mean, we're still friends. Nothing changed that much,"
