Chapter twenty-eight: Ball-shit

I was currently preparing for the ball, hindi ako handa. Pero ayoko nang magback-out.

later I will be having the title 'lady' siyempre hindi ako ang nakaisip non at sila Austin nanaman pero instead of protesting I agreed. Kasi wala naman akong choice. 

I don't want attention, and they know that. Pero since being pretty and being called lady the paparazzi will surely question me. 

Ano ang isasagot ko, will I tell them my real name? Or should I use a pseudonym? Whichever I pick, maaring matrack pa din nila ako. So I would minimal my english and just use fluent Japanese, and if ever I'm gonna speak english I will put an accent to it. 

Napagusapan din namin ni Enzo na kapag nagkaroon ng encounter sa amin ni Kaede or Priam that he would control me. I also took off my ring and wore it as a necklace. 

I heard a knock on the door, the man who I love the most enetered the room with a messy colar and an unfixed necktie. "Hey, are you done--" He smiled when he saw my whole appearance. 

He charged at me and kissed me on the lips, "Lipstick Enzo!" Sigaw ko pagkatapos niya akong bitawan. I got a piece of wipes and wiped it on his lips. I also fixed his collar and neck tie. 

We are currently in a limousine ride papunta doon, nandoon na sina Austin and Yvethe. They said that we should make an entrance, so a limousine for a crowd getting attention. Alam kong ginagawa din to ni Austin para matunton ang pagkatao ko nila Kaede pero wala akong magagawa. I agreed to this shit. 

Nakarating na kami sa lugar at medyo maraming tao na, there is a red carpet and cameras everywhere. 

"After you," sabi ko kay Enzo na sumunod lang. 

Inalalayan niya ako palabas at parang may dumaan na multo dahil sa sobrang tahimik ng lugar nung lumabas ako ng kotse. I walked with Enzo up to the stairs and we were stopped by some paparazzi's.

"Hi miss," Sabi ng isang lalaki pero hindi ko siya pinansin. 

Flashing lights were everywhere. 

"Excuse me, can you all please move aside and let the lady through the door? She needs to get cold air, and it's hot outside. Thank you." Sabi ng guard.

Agad naman sumunod ang mga tao at naghati sila para makadaan ako ng maayos. I walked with Enzo right by my side, nakita ko ang babaeng gumagawa ngayon sa companya namin. Sa HMC. It's Kaede, she was staring at me, and I saw her strap has fallen on my peripheral vission so I stopped and turned to her and fixed it. 

Halatang nagulat siya because she flinched when our skin come in contact. 

"What the hell was just that?" Galit na bulong sa akin ni Enzo, umiling lang ako sa kanya. "Low profile and yet you chose to touch her?" Hindi ko siya pinansin at sumunod nalang sa guard na nagdala sa amin sa isang table. 

One of the program already started, it's the blind dance. Sumakit na ang ulo ko, okay he's already on my mind. Hinanap ko si Cassian, at nakita ko siya sa gitna na walang kapartner. Kaya nilapitan ko siya. 

Like in every dance, I placed my hand on his neck and he placed his on my waist. Hindi naman magagalit si Enzo sa akin, kasi kung hindi niya ako kino-control I have already punched this man. 

"Kincho shi suginaide kudasai." Sabi ko at kumunot ang noo niya. 

"Sorry, I don't understand you." He was looking straight in my eyes, halatang may scanner siya. Kasi hindi niya ako tititigan ng ganito. Buti nalang may suot din kaming contacts na hindi gagana sa scanner na yan.

"Anata wa mada anatadesu, nani mo akachan o kaete imasen." 

"I can't understand a shit from you." Inis na sabi nito na ikinatawa ko. Anger issues? Bago yan ah.

"Hidoku kiminiaitai. Shikashi, sukunakutomo mada, watashi wa modoru koto ga dekimasen."

"Yeah, I know I'm so handsome." Sagot niya sa akin, tsk. Kung ano nalang masabi ah.

Isinandal ko ang aking ulo sa kanyang dibdib bago magsalita, "I can feel your heartbeat." I acted a weird accent.

"You can speak english? You could've told me earlier." I only smiled as a reply.

"Baka, anata wa watashi no aidentiti o shitte irudeshou. Akusento o tsukeru no wa muzukashīdesu."

"There you go again with the japanese. Can you drop that, I don't understand you." I didn't answer, wala nang maisip si Enzo na sagot. Buti nga ma-block sana utak niya.

"You are really beautiful." basag niya sa katahimikan namin, he seriously complimented me kahit may maskarra? Wow. Great lier.

"Thank you. I know that." Sagot ko.

I looked again to his eyes, "Are you single?" tanong ko.

Umiling siya, "nope. I'm already taken sorry." mama mo taken! You're still not over me, baby. 

"That's sad, may I know your name?" Tanong ko sa kanya, and I'm guessing he will be using his second name.

"Reed." I'm right.

The song stopped so he took off his hold on my waist, pero hinalikan ko siya sa pisngi which left him dumbfounded. 

Lumapit na ako kay Enzo na nakaupo lang. 

"Whas the kiss really necessary?" Naiinis niyang sinabi, at natawa lang ako. 

Seloso should be his nickname, "It was just a friendly kiss. And don't woprry after this I'll flood you with plent of kisses." 

"Okay, we made an anonymous decision. That the lady will be the partner of Mr. Jane for our game of poker. But before that, let us enjoy our dinner."

Okay, poker. That must be easy. 


We are currently sitting on the table when Cassian and the other sat with us. Dito sila naka-assign. Hinanap ko si Austin at ayon, nakita ko siya na nakatingin sa akin. Siya nanaman ang may pakanan nito. 

"Sore wa watashi ga issho ni odotta shonendesu. Kawai janaidesu ka." I said to Enzo but he just avoided my gaze. Actor naman talaga ang darling ko.

Dinner finished at poker na. I don't have to tell you every single detail, because it is boring. Walang kathrill thrill. Even if I bet everysingle money that I have, ako ang mananalo. Bakit? Kasi kaya kong makakuha ng flush. 

This whole act is easy.
