Chapter forty-five: Families

"Your son is very good, he might be a great partner to my daughter." Sabi ni daddy habang kausap si tita Laura. She just smiled at him, "Wait, he was your ex right? Siya ang sinundan mo sa Japan pero hindi ka nagtagal." Baling ni daddy sa akin, I didn't like talking about my past kaya tumango nalang ako as an answer. 


"I don't want to reminisce," I checked my wristwatch. Pamilya ko pa lang kasi at pamilya ng fiance ko ang nandito. Kaede said that her mom and dad will be late. Speaking of them I heard that her mom and dad are back on good terms. She said that she will be late for a few minutes, Ryota is already on the way with his mom and dad. 

On the other hand Hailey and Calyx is also on the way, they picked up their parents from their houses. Hailey's mom and dad is still on bad terms, especially when they have a lot of family problems but we need the parents blessing so they have to try and breathe the same air. 

"Have I told you that I was so mad at Ravenna back then and I thought that their engagement was fake because they seem to not show that they're in love and I didn't saw a ring, but Enzo made the announcement 2 weeks later. Lahat ng galit ko kay Ravenna nawala dahil na-realize ko na mahal talaga nila ang isa't isa." 

My dad and his mom talked for a few minutes hanggat sa magsipasok na ang mga kulang, on the left side was us six and on the right side was our parents. My dad's secretary is on the other side of the table, she will probably take notes, well since the wedding is in 10 days. Diba ang bilis?

"So hello everyone, I'm sure that you guys are already aware for uniting of these young ones. And it will be on the 18th." 

Lahat kami tumango sa sinabi ni tita Laura. 

"What is our motif? Did you guys decide already?" Baling samin ng mom ni Hailey, we all shook our heads. "How about the boys, what do you guys like?" 

"Whatever our future wife would like." Sabi ni Ryota, at nag-agree naman ang lahat doon.

"Since there are three of us, we should pick three colors, Red, Purple and Blue." Suggestion ni Kaede, dad's secretary typed on the laptop. 

"And what is the meaning of those three colors?" Tanong ng mom ni Kaede. 

"That's the color of our whole frienship," Sagot ko, nagtaka naman sila. "Red means, passion, energy, and danger. We are always passionate about certain things, we never waste our energy on bullshit, and we bring danger to the battlefield." I explained. 

Hailey signed me that she will explain her color, "Blue means serenity, stability, inspiration. We are always filled with sense of serenity, we never over react on things that is not worth our time, we have the stability of being stronger together, and we all are our own kind of inspiration."

Then Kaede told the meaning of hers, diba para kaming tangang kinukumpleto ang mga sentence namin. But it's cute kasi I just made up that these three colors is the colors of our friendship. Buti nalang may baon kaming mga dahilan. 

"Purple symbolizes royalty, luxury,  and power. We always treat ourselves as a royal, we don't let anyone step on our royalty, luxury because we don't waste our money on stupid things, we use it for our hapiness and luxury, and power is what we have when it comes to battle. Our saying was always, 'us stronger together'."

I sipped on my water before taking back what we said, "And also because they are our favorite colors." 

We all laughed before being serious again, "I already paid for the location, and rented out the whole place for 24 hours." Sabi ni tita Laura. 

"We'll pay for the dresses and suits." Sabi ng dad ni Kaede. 

"Kami na ang bahala sa catering." Sabi ng mom ni Ryota. 

"I'll be the one to make those dresses, I am an expert when it comes to sewing." Pagmamayabang ng mom ni Calyx, Calyx was embarrased kaya namula ang mga pisngi nito. 

Biglang sumingit sa usapan ang secretary ni daddy, "And here is the list of the invited guests. You may add someone in particular if you would like."

"Okay great, it's all settled we have 10 more days to prepare. But I would like to set a bachelor and bachelorette party 2 days from now at hotel near us. We'll book 2 seperate rooms for the guys and girls."
