Chapter thrity-six: Threat

I was sleeping when my phone rang, I looked at who is calling and saw Enzo's mom. 

I yawned before picking up the phone call, I rubbed my eyes before speaking. "What's up boss master?" 

I heard clapping sounds, "Great job on giving them a warning shot. I don't know if they're still your friends or you have that thought or intention to kill them someday." 

I laughed, "No, I'm hot going to kill them. I just gave them that warning because I know they would force me back to their group." 

"And I know you won't let that happen. You are connected to our agency. So I hope you won't back out." 

Umiling ako kahit hindi niya yon makikita, "Don't worry, I'll take full responsibility when I get married to your son. Oh and when my dad finds out about the marriage he will want you to sign a lot of things. I'm sure about that." 

Tumahimik sa kabilang linya, "Hmm, what are the things that I might sign?" 

"Well since we're getting married Hendrix corporation in the Philippines will be placed to me, so maybe the passing of companies, kumabaga papagsamahin niya ang Okazaki Agency at ang corporation namin." 

"That would be lovely, Ravenna. I'll agree on his decision, we'll have more attention and Hendrix will be known in Japan and Okazaki will be known in the Philippines. It will benefit both companies." 

I smiled by myself, "Okay... Uhm, is that what you want to talk about? Do you need anything besides complimenting me?" 

"I'm here to give my good luck to you, I contacted some of my people to track any suspicious things happening around Tokyo that might affect you. And we located one group, R&S? I think this is what you have told me, the Remington and Stellards." 

Napatango tango nalang ako bago sumagot, "Thank you for informing me, we'll contact you when we need something." 

"Okay, stay safe. Don't let Enzo die okay?" 

"Yes, mom." I teased her before ending the call. 

Umupo ako ng maayos sa kama, at alam kong nagluluto si Enzo ngayon dahil amoy ko ang pancakes. 

Nagring ulit ang phone ko, sabi na eh. May kailangan pang sabihin yung mom ni Enzo. I checked who was calling per kumunot noo ko dahil unknown number. Baka isa nanaman to sa number ni ate!

Malamang tatawagan nila ako, lalo na't nakita na nila ako ulit after almost 2 years. "ENZO!" I shouted, so that he could control me just in case. 

Narinig kong may tumatakbo papunta sa kwarto, bumukas ito kaagad at nakita ko ang worried face niya. "What? May nangyari ba?" 

"Wala, pero someone's calling me and I think it might be my ate again--" 

"And you want me to control you?" Pagtuloy niya sa sasabihin ko. He sighed before sitting beside me. "Just act, darling. They won't know the difference." 

"Fine but if I say something bad or anything that might get us suspicious it's your fault." 

I answered tha call, "If this is Riley again I'm going to end the call."

I heard small sobs from the line, and I immediately knew who this was. [Please... Don't.]

I stayed silent, I know that this is Cassian. I'm guessing he's going to ask me who Enzo is, and bla bla bla. "C-cassian? Why are you calling, who's number are you using?" I think I'm getting quite good at acting. 

[Ravenna, please don't tell me that you find another one.] I was about to answer yes, pero kinurot ako ni Enzo. Ay shet oo nga pala, acting ravenna. Acting muna.

"Cassian, just please trust me. Baby.." Nandidiri ako habang sinasabi ang call sign na yon. Ngayon ko lang narealize na ang cringy pala non. I heard no response, he's probably shocked because I called him 'baby'.

"All of the suffering of us, and this relationship will end soon. I promise you, I never not follow promises. I still love you baby. Don't worry." 

I actually feel bad, because I still want to be friends with him. But giving him this false hopes, our friendship will be a rollercoaster of emotions and shit.

[Who is Enzo?]

"Shit!" I acted shocked because he asked that but It's predictable. "Baby if I tell you this now, it will ruin my plan. Jut keep finding me here in Japan, and when the time comes that we have the time to talk about all this. I will explain every single thing that I have done here in Japan. Any more questions, baby?" 

[Why will I trust you? How am I sure that whatever you are saying is true?] Kung pwede ko lang isagot 'kung ayaw mo maniwala edi don't' pero baka matawa lang ako sa sarili ko, Ravenna seryoso ang usapan umayos ka.

"I never lie to you, it's just I am in a complicated situation right now. And If I fall back in your arms right now, all of the hard work that I did for the past year and a half will just pop and be gone like a bubble." 

[That's enough for me.] He said as if he's contented on what he just heard, may narinig akong nabasag sa kabilang linya. He's probably drinking, and if the reason is this, it's not good of a reason. Not even worth it.

"Baby, you're drinking right now? Stop drinking, you'll eventually see me sooner or later, wag ka lang muna magdusa ngayon, kasi your tears for this kind of situation is not worth of your tears. Shh, baby don't cry." 

Narinig kong mas lalong lumakas ang pagiyak niya, narinig ko ring may binuksan siyang bagong bote ng alak.

"Hendrix, masuta ga anata o yonde imasu.... Baby, please don't call again. I might get caught, but I promise you, I'll be the one to call you when everything is done. I love you baby."

I ended the call and I even made a disgusted face. Natawa naman si Enzo. "I hate that callsign." 

He kissed my forehead before standing up, "You're not a bad actress after all." 

We just ate breakfast before chilling on the sofa. 

Tumunog na ang cellphone ko, I've been waiting for this video call for hours. 

"Hi Luke!' Bati ko. I saw him pout before greeting me. 

"Hi ate... I want to see you na." 

"Don't worry, tiisin mo muna. You'll see me at the least expected time." Sabi ko bago ngumiti. 

We talked about how his day has been going and a lot more random topics. I ended the call after 2 hours of talking to him, but then I received a text from Euria.

Be in the alley where you found Kaede and her shitty team mates. We'll give you 3 hours. If we don't see your shadow there the safety of them will not be guaranteed.
