Chapter forty-two: Unexpected ambush

We were talking about how I was doing in Japan, pinakilala ko din si Enzo at ang parents niya. Also Saya, Maverick, and Jesse. He shook hands with all of them. 

We also had an unexpected gathering dahil nagrequest si daddy ng sobrang daming pagkain. He also has a great bond with Luke already, pero sabi ni Luke kami pa rin daw ni Enzo ang mom and dad niya. 

"So ano ang balak mong sabihin sa akin? Sabi ni Riley may news daw ikaw, you know that I hate suspense so tell me the news already." Sabi ni daddy habang pinupunasan ang bibig. 

I smiled and heavily sighed, "Don't freak out, but I'm engaged to this man right here." Turo ko kay Enzo, my dad smiled before turning his glance to Enzo's parents. 

"I see that there is a reason that they are here, I'm guessing you want to talk about the wedding?" Umiling si Laura bago magsalita. 

"Your daughter wants to have a tripple wedding, with Kaede and Hailey together with the grooms. Who am I to say no to her request right?" 

My dad nodded, "But I want to transfer all her legal rights of the company before she  get's married, uh when's the date of the marriage?"

"18th of september we have atleast 2 weeks to prepare, and since you're transferring the full rights to your daughter we'll also transfer the rights of my agency to my son." Sabi ni tita Laura. Oh level up, tita na tawag ko sa kanya. "Besides they're both turning 22 this year and they are responsible enough. Did you know that they bought their own 2-floor condo unit in Japan, and they took care of Luke like they are the parents." Dagdag pa nito. 

"I already made a decision, and I hope you would agree to that Mr. and Mrs. Okazaki. We have to join forces when they get married, our corporation and your agency." I knew that dad was going to say that. And tita Laura wasn't even surprised. 

"I have no second motion, we just need to call the other pairs' parent's. Kaede, Ryota, Hailey and Calyx, we want you to call your parents and tell them to be here in Hendrix Corporation 8am sharp. We'll have a meeting together with our kids." Laura said before standing up, "It was nice meeting you but we need to take a rest. We'll see you tomorro--"  Hindi natapos ang sasabihin niya nang makarinig kami ng napaka lakas na pagsabog na nangaling sa baba. 

"What the?" Sabi ko at umayos ng tayo, I got a gun from underneath of the table and fixed it's bullets. 

"Dad, I need you and the other evacuate. I mean-- no not evacuate bring them to your office now! We'll take care of this." Seryosong sabi ko bago maunang maglakad, 

"Split into two groups, us from Japan and Kaede's team. We need to have two forces in order to finish whatever this act or bullshit we have in the lobby." Sabi ko at pinasunod sina Saya sa akin, Enzo was just beside me holding his hand gun. 

I never thought that our battle isn't finished yet. Well I'm not clear with the situation yet, I don't know if this has anything to do with the RatS or a new set of people that want our attention has made the bombing. 

"Darling, I feel like I can hear your thoughts. What's happening?"

"I don't know," Mabilis kong sagot, I have no idea or clue on what's happening right now. "I just have a really bad feeling. And we need to get there fast, some people might be dead because of the explosion." 

Nang makarating kami sa lobby duguan ang iba at sira ang pader sa kaliwa. Maraming namatay, and we couldn't afford more deaths. I observed the place and they probably used a bomb just to break in, someone or somebody broke in. We just need to find them. 

"Call the police and an ambulance, I need to investigate this." Sabi ko bago magsuot ng latex gloves. Nagtataka si Enzo at ang iba, "What? You guys are gonna keep staring are you gonna help me?" 

They also observed the place, "Ravenna. We are mafia's not detectives, why would we even investigate this? We should leave this job for the police." 

"Excuse me, I'm not a mafia, I am an agent at Okazaki Agency, I was a mafia bgut you took me out remember. But since I am almost the owner of this corporation, I want to expand our capabilities, train the other mafia's to investigate and make their own deductions before the police confirms it." 

"Put the company on lock down, guard the broken wall. I don't want anyone making in or out at this company before we figure out who did this." Tumango silang lahat, I picked up the broken bomb. Classic, he or she is still in here. I can feel their eerie pressence. 

"Let's first state the obvious, this person, or persons wants to get our attention," Sabi ni Enzo bago lumipat sa kabilang direksyon. "And this person might be one of your mafias, needless to say I think we can find out who the culpirit is." 

I laughed, "Wow, you really think you could solve this without me, darling?" He nodded, ang yabang naman niya! Ayaw kong mag-away kami ngayon kaya kailangan kong tanggapin muna ang pagkayabang niya. 

"I think I have a clearer mind darling, and you're stressed and tired. I think I can handle a basic task or mission, whatever your company calls that." 

I took off my latex gloves and told everyone that I am going to the bathroom, call me an over reactor but I'm kinda mad at him. Okay edi siya na yung may clearer mind, saksak niya sa kanya yung case. 

I washed my face with cold water from the sink and looked myself in the mirror. You're a mess Ravenna, you have not gotten enough sleep for the past few days, you're not getting your normal glow anymore. 

Maraming mga thoughts ang pumasok sa isip ko, pero isa lang ang nagdala sa akin sa kawalan.
