Prologue

"Pregnancy Test?! Pills?!"

My head is still in awe due to the hangover. Yesterday's party was insane! I'm too drunk to the point that I can't even remember how I got home safe! At sino ang naghatid sa akin pauwi? Ahh! I don't remember anymore.

"Rex, calm down. Let's wait for Luan's explanation." Si Mommy. She's seating beside Dad with tired eyes.

"Heck, Loreen! How can I calm down? Your daughter is giving us a headache! She's always like that."

"Rex, she's young and maybe... she's just curious about things!"

My dad looked at her with disbelief, like my mom said something disgusting.

"No, Loreen! She's not young anymore. She's twenty one! Nag-iisa natin siyang anak at siya ang magmamana ng lahat ng pinaghirapan natin kapag nawala na tayo. Kailan pa siya matuto? Ouch. Pero grabe naman 'yong end of the world! Grabe rin ang mauubos ko ang yaman ng angkan ko. Like, ang dami-dami kaya non.

"Wait, everyone." Pumagitna ako sa kanilang dalawa.

Mabilis na tumayo si Mommy ng makita ako. She looks worried. Maybe she thinks my Father might hurt me due to anger. I tried to be calm and chill but my knees trembles weakly when father glared at me.

"Explain this Luan!" I almost jump when he slammed our table. "What's this, Huh? Why are you having this in your bag?!" The veins in his neck went visible.

"Rex, please." My Mom tried to touch him but he stepped back, not wanting any sugar coating.

"Are you pregnant?!"

Bakit ako magpapabuntis kay Vince? Ang pangit kaya ng genes niya.

"Don't try to pretend Luan, I know you two are secretly dating!"

"Yes, but." I stopped and closed my eyes for a second. "We broke up months ago! And It's impossible for me to get pregnant because..." I glanced at them for a moment. "Because I have a girlfriend!"

"Omygad!" Natuptop ni Mommy ang bibig niya.

She almost lost her consciousness.
Napaupo siya sa sofa hawak ang ulo niya. I don't see anything wrong with having a Girlfriend. My Mother just didn't expect that.
