CHAPTER 21
"I'm sorry but we're not hiring."
"You didn't pass our qualifications."
"We're sorry to inform you that you'll not proceed to the next hiring process."
"You don't have experience yet? We're looking for someone with at least two-year experience."
"We can see that you're not qualified for this Job."
I decided not to work for my parents due to personal reasons. I want to learn and be independent by my own. I want to start from the bottom. I want to prove that I can survive without relying on my inheritances.
Ang hirap palang maghanap ng trabaho. Most of the companies are looking for someone with experience. I don't understand!
Gosh.
Habang may buhay, may problema---may pag-asa pala.
Maraming tao, maingay at may polusyon.
The girl beside me stared at me for a while. Sinuri niya ako mula ulo Hanggang paa. I raised my brow.
My mother is calling.
"Luan! Where are you? We're worried about you."
"Mom," Kalamado kong sabi. "I'm fine! I'm just looking for work. I attended interviews."
My mother dramatically gasped for air. "What are you doing? Why are you making things hard for yourself?
"Mom, please."
"Go home and I'll make you a branch manager!"
"Mom. Uuwi rin po ako. Where's Dad? Huwag mo na akong masyadong iisipin. Sige, pauwi na po ako." Malambing kong sagot sa kanya.
Bumuntong-hininga siya at hindi agad sumagot. "Your Dad is talking to someone on his phone. Alright Lu. Hihintayin kita."
"Okay Mom. I'll update you. I love you."
"I love you too." My mother replied before ending our conversation.
I stared at the building on the other side of the road. Everything is still fresh in my memories. My heart is still hurting and mourning. I still remember the last time I saw Abel. The last time that didn't turn out right for my heart.
