She left for Texas for a little while
To hopefully get back on track
She's been doing so well
But of course I miss her
Because when do I not
I can't wait for her to come home
I can't wait to sleep next to her
To wake up in the early mornings
Set an alarm before I need to actually be up
So that I can snuggle up closer to her
So I can give her those gentle kisses
That ever so slightly wake her
Hear her happy sigh
See her cute smile
Where she's too tired to even open her eyes
But she snuggles into me
And the world is right
And I have to tell her I have to leave
A few minutes before I do
Because she always whines and crawls on top of me
Not letting me leave her just yet
And trace my fingers over her back
Just the way she likes
And she snuggles closer
She happily sighs
Her lips curve into a smile
If I'm lucky she'll open those beautiful eyes
And give me a quick glance
Just enough for me to see their brilliant color
And she'll close them again
And go right back to sleep
I'll crawl out of bed
Careful not to disturb her
And give her one final glance
Chances are she's probably asleep already
The sleeping angel
Looking so peaceful
Making me never want to leave
If I had millions of dollars
I wouldn't buy an expensive car
Or a fancy house
I'd simply never set an alarm
And snuggle with her for as long as I please
Only leave when she's ready to get out of the bed
And we'd spend all day together
Just her and I or whatever
