I collapse onto the floor of the main arena. Gulping in air- I look up in front of me. Fourth! I groan, turning onto my back and attempting to calm my breathing. Why on earth do I keep coming in fourth?

I slowly stand. I don't feel any sense of sportsmanship anymore, maybe my competitive side was coming out- my need to win. I didn't care, I had to win. I feel no more kindness towards the three boys ahead of me, or to anyone at this moment.

Momo arrived shortly after me, panting and out of breath. "This- wasn't- how- it- was- supposed- to- go." She panted between each word. I raised an eyebrow before walking beside her in anger. "I did- AH!" I give a harsh elbow jab at Mineta, he flies off Momo and I aggressively rip the balls off the back of her top.

"Thank you so much." She smiles tiredly and kindly at me and I can't help the smile slowly come over me. "Anytime."

Okay, maybe I feel some kindness.

The group of us stood in front of the stage after Midnight went through the scoreboard. "The top forty-two made it to the next round!"

She slashed her whip once more, "Now! Here is the second game. I already know what it is." She informed, the screen behind her spinning.

It stops on 'Calvary Battle,' and Midnight gives us a brief explanation on how it works. "Based on the last game, you're all assigned a certain number of points." She smirks at us all. "It starts at the bottom and goes up by five. I look at the names and numbers beside them, my eyes widening.

"First place stands at- ten million!" My eyes darken as I stare at the green-haired boy. All I need is his headband and I come first place... then again, everyone will be going for him. If I just lay low and go for each other headband when everyone goes for the ten million then I should be good, right?

"You have fifteen minutes to get into groups!" Midnight slashes her whip again.

I glance around, looking for a certain boy. My mouth forming a smirk when I see him speaking not to long away, perfect.

I walk towards the boy- "Hey, purple head." I catch his attention. "You'll all about winning right?" I ask. The boy smirks lazily at me, "I'll try." He responds. I look around at the groups forming. "That's good enough for me." I shrug, "Tell me the plan."

I smile brightly around me, third place isn't that bad at all. Although I felt bad for Ojiro and the other boy it still meant I won. I was advancing to the next round.

Midnight stood in front of us, getting started on explaining the one versus one battles. Suddenly, Ojiro raises his hand, explaining how he could remember nothing of what just happened and that he doesn't deserve to move on. The other boy on our team doing the same.

I'm a bad person.

We begin walking towards the stands for our break.

"You're not doing the same, Mai-Chan?" Kirishima smirks from beside me. I give him a shove, "I was fully conscious that whole time, for your information. Shitty-hair." I mutter. "Hopefully I get put against you so I can beat the shit out of you." I smile prettily at the red-haired boy.

His eyes widen and he taps the boy in front of him. "You guys can't hang out together anymore." He informs. The blonde boy turns around sharply, eyeing Kirishima and I. "What are you on about?" He questions. "She's picked up your lingo!" He cried. "She called me shitty-hair!" He pointed at me.

Bakugou's angry face subsided, a smirk taking over. I shake my head at him, "It's not his lingo! I would not take up his lingo!" I defend.

We get to the canteen eventually. Kirishima takes a seat at a table and Bakugou goes to sit next to him before he shakes his hand. "No way. You two-" He points between me and Bakugou, "Can sit nowhere near me, I'm not getting bullied this whole time." I raise my eyebrows in amusement. "Are you serious?" I ask.

He looks away, nodding. I open my mouth to respond but Bakugou pulls me behind him towards the opposite side of Kirishima. He collapsed onto a chair, his legs spread and stretched his arms, letting out a breath. I gulp and look at the boys flexing muscles.

"Mai-Chan, are you okay?" I snap towards Kirishima, "What?" I ask. "You're, like, staring at Bakugou." He says loudly.

Sero and Bakugou's heads both snap in my direction. My eyes widen and my face reddened. "W-why-"

"Mai-Chan!" I let out a subtle sigh of relief for the interruption. I turn around, avoiding Bakugou's smug face. I wave at Mina. "What's up?" I question. "Mineta and Kaminari-Kun were saying something about cheerleading we have to do, you have to come!" She exclaimed. I raised an eyebrow. "Kaminari and Mineta?" I question.

She nods furiously and I glance behind her to see all the girls smiling and waiting for me. "Okay." I shrug, Mina grabbing my hand and guiding me. "Bye Mai!" I hear from behind me, turning towards the red-head I grab him by the shirt. "This isn't over, count your blessings. Eijirou."

I stood between Uraraka and Jiro, my face red and the pom-poms hid behind my back. The cheerleading outfit much skimpier than I ever imagined. "Kaminari, Mineta!" I cry. "You tricked us, didn't you?!" Momo yells, collapsing to the floor. "Why am I always caught up in Mineta's schemes?" She sighed.

I growled and stomped towards the boys. "You're so dead." I threaten lowly, pointing a pom-pom at the two boys as I stormed in their direction. Mineta ducked behind Kaminari and I grabbed the yellow-haired boy's collar.

"Now, now, no need to be so violent." I growled, snapping my head to the red-head who gripped my wrist. "Kirishima, if you don't let go- you're next." My eyes darken. Kirishima immediately lets go, patting Kaminari's shoulder. "Sorry bro, you're on your own." He sighed as he walked backwards slowly.

I smirked up at the slightly taller boy.

I sat out the recreational activities. Deciding to focus in the crowd on what tactics to use on Mina. I leaned back in my chair, rubbing my face in annoyance. A presence beside me breaks my concentration and I jolt, plastering a smile on my face. "Oh, hello Midoriya-Kun." I smile. "Weren't you taking part in the recreational activities?" I ask.

He shakes his head, "Ojiro-Kun said he would be giving me some advice on how to fight Shinsou." He answers nervously. I furrow my brows, looking up to the table of students. "Oh, Shinsou- right you're first up." I realize.

He nods meekly, "Hey, no need to worry," I place a hand on his shoulder. "That guy will be a piece of cake." I say in confidence, looking into the boys eyes. "You- you think? I mean he made it this far." Midoriya mumbles.

Wrapping my arm completely over his shoulder, I smile brightly at him. "Trust me, I had to carry the dude and he literally weighed like two grams, you can take him with that freak quirk of yours." I reassure. "Are you sure he wasn't light because two other people were holding him?" He asks.

My smile falters momentarily. "Oh." I say quietly before smiling bright once again and slapping his back sharply, "nah! You got this!" I stand up as the recreational activities end. "Look I have to go change, good luck alright? Don't doubt yourself." I smile slightly, walking away.

Sure enough, Midoriya did have this. He beat Shinsou with some difficulty but still managed it. Looking as cool as ever too. Of course, I didn't get to see it, I was busy standing in the bathroom.
