"No."
"But-"
"I said, no." Aizawa clarified.
Mai looked towards Bakugou in despair while he stared at their teacher in anger.
"Not even-"
"No."
"You didn't even know what I was gonna say!"
"You were discharged last night and you think I'll allow you to fight Bakugou the very next morning?"
"I'll go easy on her." Bakugou huffed. Mai shot the boy a look. "You don't have to go easy on me." She spat. "Oh yeah? What happened at the sports festival?" He mocked, crossing his arms. "I was put off by all the people! Trust me, if we fought right now- you wouldn't stand a chance." She threatened.
"Enough! Neither of you are fighting one another because we all know how it would end." Aizawa interrupted.
The two students turned towards the teacher. "How would it end?" Mai questioned. Aizawa sighed and rubbed his forehead. "Kumiko, if you're that desperate to train, you can fight..." The man looked around the common area.
"Uraraka."
A small squeak sounded from the brunette. "I- I don't want to train today sensei." The girl bowed, flushing red as she made eye-contact with the fiery pink-haired girl.
Mai gave the man a look. "See! No one wants to train but us, so just let us fight!"
"Actually, there is one other person who will definitely be training."
"Seriously?! Deku?! She'd be better off fighting a piece of grass." Bakugou cackled, looking at the green-haired boy. "Actually..." Mai threw a knowing look at Bakugou then glanced back at Midoriya who was standing beside Aizawa. "We haven't got the chance to fight, I wouldn't mind." She nodded.
"Great, but Kumiko-" Aizawa's aura darkened and his hair floated beside him while his eyes shone red. "Do not go to far. You're not to end up in hospital or you'll be on house arrest." He threatened. Mai nodded at him with a bright smile.
"C'mon Deku!" Mai called.
Bakugou left the two, not before telling Mai that if she lost he wouldn't speak to her again and to meet him after she finished fighting to train with him in the gym.
Mai stood opposite the green-haired boy with a bright smile. "How- how's your stomach?" The boy questioned. Mai raised her fists, "in perfect condition to fight!" She smiled her signature grin. Midoriya chuckled slightly, Aizawa's task to attempt her to stop fighting was never going to work.
Midoriya surprisingly made the first move, speeding towards the girl and sending a kick towards her face. Mai squinted her eyes slightly, his movements were slower than usual. He was taking it easy on her.
Mai jumped and spun around and delivered a harsh roundhouse kick to the boys stomach. The boy skidded across the floor and rolled back to his feet.
"I don't appreciate you taking it easy on me." Mai's face darkened.
Midoriya shuddered from the sudden coldness coming off the usual bubbly, warm girl.
The boy disregarded her words and ran for the girl again, jumping and spinning through the air and swinging his leg for the girls face. Mai noted the slowness once again.
Mai easily dodged the kick and swung her fist up into the boys stomach. He fell to the floor and hopped back up.
"I'm not weak!" Mai suddenly yelled at the boy. Midoriya stepped back in surprise, staring at the pink-haired girl. Mai's eyes widened and stepped back also. "I- I'm so sorry Midoriya."
