The days of the supplementary classes began. Mai, Bakugou and Todoroki walked from the dorms on the Saturday morning in their school uniform. The two boys argued pettily as Mai walked ahead, almost excited to see what their teacher had in store for them.
That excitement diminished quickly.
"You haven't seen them yet? I know Todoroki and Bakugou are boys but I'm surprised you never saw Mai all weekend." Kirishima spoke to Uraraka and Mina, gesturing towards Bakugou and Mai.
"Yeah those supplementary classes don't seem fun by the looks of them two." Kaminari added quietly.
"Quit talking about us like we're not here!" Bakugou yelled. Mina looked in shock at the two beaten students. Mai had a plaster over her nose, eyebrow and forehead. Her lip visibly busted. Bakugou looked slightly better but was still covered in bandages.
"You don't have that long left, right Mai?" Kaminari questioned. She shook her head, "our exam is on Saturday." The class's heads all shot up to look at the pink-haired girl. "Saturday?!" They all chimed in unison. Bakugou's hand met the back of the girls' head and she winced in pain.
"We swore we weren't going to tell them!"
She smiled sheepishly at the boy, her eyes drooped slightly. "I forgot. . . I'm so tired." She sighed, her forehead hitting the desk in front of her.
The day of the Provisional License Training exam, Mai walked through the hall of the exam centre. Her boots made a clicking sound as the area around her was completely silent.
"Mai Kumiko, right?" A sickly sweet voice called out. The pink-haired girl spun around to face the blonde, surprised she could sneak up on her. She hummed in response, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
"I just ran into your classmates, Shoto and Katsuki, right?" She questioned, catching up to Mai and the two walked on. Mai nodded, "He tell you that you could call him Katsuki?" Mai chuckled lightly.
"I always call the people I fancy by, like, their first name." Camie informed, an innocent smile on her face. Mai nodded at the girl, not sure how to respond. "Good. . . for you?" She answered, her eyes ahead.
"You not- like, dating either of them right?" She pried, leaning towards the girl. Mai moved away from the girl, creating distance within in the two. She thought for a moment, before shaking her head. "No, I suppose you could say I'm not." She answered. "Great! I wonder which one I'll go for first. . ." Camie wondered aloud.
"Todoroki." Mai immediately interrupted.
Camie raised a brow at the girl, a sly smirk on her face. "Oh! You like Katsuki, don't you?" Mai's face burned red at the question. "What?!" The girl laughed nervously. "No way! Go for him, be my guest." She responded, shaking her head.
Camie hummed, eyeing Mai up. "Okay. . ."
As they entered the arena, Katsuki immediately spun to face the girl. "Finally you slow poke, take you that long to go to the bathroom?" He grumbled loudly. The few students there turned to look at the girls in surprise. "Katsuki!" Mai hissed, rushing over to smack the boy.
"-As I was saying. . . This is the new student joining you guys."
Camie stood beside the man speaking, a bright smile on her face. "Call me Camie! Thanks for like, letting me join you guys and stuff! I totally don't remember like one thing from the exam!" She smiled.
Mai didn't smile towards the girl, a small glare was on her face, not going unnoticed by the boy beside her.
"I'll leave it to you, Gang Orca!" The man called, walking over to sit with the rest of the judges.
