Mai smiled at the video playing on her phone. It was nearing twelve o'clock at night and she had yet to hear Bakugou or Midoriya leave their respectful rooms.

Although Bakugou had warned Mai not to come with him or wait for him to get back, Mai was in no mood to listen to the boy. And so here she was, watching videos on her phone to keep herself awake.

A sudden door squeaking open caught her attention. "Shit!" A small whisper. Mai shut her phone off and threw the covers off her body. It was Katsuki!

She tiptoed towards her door and pressed her ear against it.

Bakugou sighed as he looked towards Mai's door. He contemplated whether to knock and see if she was awake and wanted to join him. But he wanted to do this alone, he didn't want the girl to see this version of him. It was the reason he was so rude earlier on; to make sure she wouldn't follow.

He left the building with Midoriya in tow. Mai looked at the two boys through her window, once they were a far enough distance, she slipped her window open and leapt from the building.

Her quirk allowed her to land safely on the ground, and she looked around madly making sure no one awoke from her ruckus. Letting out a sigh of relief, the girls' eyes snapped up to the boys' retreating figures.

She wiped off the dirt from her white tank top and shorts before jogging after the boys.

Bakugou stopped outside of Ground Beta, turning towards Midoriya.

Mai creeped after the boys slowly and hid quietly down one of the alleys near enough to where the boys were talking.

"You were quirkless and useless."

Mai held her breath as the two spoke, well, as Bakugou spoke. She glanced around the dark area and let out the breath she was holding.

What am I doing here?

She had to question herself. What was she doing there? It's not as if Bakugou needed her help with anything, after all he is class one-a's top student. She rubbed the sleep out of her eyes and shot a glance in the boys' direction.

If Katsuki did want to confront Midoriya, then why bring him all the way down to Ground Beta?  It's so far away that if I stayed at the dorms even my hearing ability wouldn't catch the boys' conversation.

Mai played with her fingers as her mind made up theories, but the most obvious stuck out like a sore thumb. Mai's eyes widened and she took a step backwards.

Bakugou not wanting her to follow.

Leading Midoriya so far away.

Confronting him in the middle of the night.

She brought her hand to her mouth. Surely, he's not that stupid!

"Let's fight. Right here, right now."

Mai took another step back and her feet followed one after the other. She sprinted as fast as she could back to the dorms, scared for her friends' safety. As she ran, a familiar car drove towards the girl. Mai skidded to a stop and the drivers door swung open.

"All Might!" The girl cried out. He looked at the girl in shock. "Young Kumiko? What are you doing out here?! Are you okay?!" The man questioned. "Please! It's Katsuki-Kun and Midoriya-Kun! They're fighting!" She informed, panting lightly. He let out a sigh of relief at the girl, "don't worry Kumiko, I'm sure Aizawa will be on top of things." He reassured.
