Mai stood on the top of the cliff, far above Class-A. She stared down at her fellow classmates, her eyes lingering on the muscular boy clad in a black wife-beater. Feeling much more flushed all of a sudden. Her mind flashed to the night beforehand.
After Mai's confession, the two spent the night talking. Bakugou sat facing away from the pink-haired girl as she bathed- on the lookout out for creeps like Mineta or Kaminari.
His reaction to her body just clarified the feelings she had for the boy even more.
"Are you sure about this Kumiko-San?" Tokoyami's voice broke her train of thoughts. The red faced girl snapped her head to look at the boy. She smiled brightly, "I'll be okay, Tokoyami-Kun."
How do you expand a cat-like quirk?
Jump of a cliff clearly.
Mai's excuse was that her jumping technique hasn't reached the potential she would like, and to start she wanted to build up a tolerance to landing from high distances.
She was now regretting that decision.
She kept peeking over the edge of the cliff as if the distance would shorten each time she'd look. Taking a few steps back, the girl got ready to jump off. "Just jump and land." She repeated to herself continuously.
Finally, after taking a deep breath, the girl took a running start and leapt off the edge.
Mai stayed uncharacteristically silent as she plummeted towards the floor at a fast rate. Her arms swung madly as she tried to gain some sort of balance in the air. Finally- she made contact with the ground.
A cloud of dust surrounded the girl and some people on the sidelines, especially her teacher, stared in worry.
The dust settled and there Mai stood, her legs shaking slightly but standing perfectly fine. She let out a cheer for herself before staring down towards her legs in amazement and then back to the ledge of the cliff above her.
"That was probably about fifty meters, Kumiko." Mai turned sharply towards her teacher. She stared at him waiting for him to continue. "Most people would've died from impact," he glanced towards her legs, "and their legs would be crushed beneath them."
"Whoa..." She responded. "What does that mean?" She asked. "I think with the right training, your legs could become one of your main assets. Maybe as strong as Mirko." Mai's eyes widened.
"For now, focus on your jumping ability." Mai nodded at the mans words and turned and faced the cliff once again.
"So, you just go up and say you like him." Mai shook her head in disbelief at the words the girls were saying to her. "-Guys! Enough... he doesn't- it's not that type of relationship." Mai stuttered, chopping the onions in front of her.
"It clearly is!" Mina cries desperately. Mai shoots her a look, "alright, what's up? What's wrong with you guys, why are you all so invested?" She stops chopping for a moment and turns to them all.
The two girls in front of her glance down to the large knife the agitated, pink-haired girl was holding. "You know what!? Never mind!" Uraraka smiles happily- the last thing she wanted to do was mention the bet between the boys and girls of Class 1A while Mai had a large, sharp knife in her hand and so she turned, facing the table and peeling the skin off some onions to give to Mai.
Mai shakes her head at the three and faces them once again. "I mean seriously though... what is everyone's obsession with me and-"
"Mai-Chan!"
