Longevity ~ DNF

An annoying alarm woke me up early as I tried burying myself further into the mountain of pillows I was just sleeping on.

I heard a groan from the other side of the room making me sit up. I look over seeing Delem on the ground under a blanket.

"Delem?" I question getting a groan from him. I guess he wasn't a morning person at all. "Delem!" I yell a little louder making him launch a pillow at my face. I dodge it making it hit his night stand. It dropped my phone and a glass of water.

"Hey!" I shout making him look up at me.

"George?" He gives me a questionable look before a light bulb goes off in his head.

"Oh right I forgot you were here. Are you feeling better?" He gives me a smile as I look over his awful bedhead. It made me giggle resulting in him giving me a raised eyebrow.

"Well yours isn't any better." He retorts a smirk on his face. I scoff before throwing a pillow at him on the floor.

"Why are you on the floor?" I question as he slowly stands up. He walks over to me jumping next to me on the bed. He shrugs burying his face into a pillow.

"You stole my bed and I wasn't sure if you would of been comfortable with me sleeping there. I mean it 100% would result in us cuddling." He teases smirking at me again. I blush grabbing my phone off the floor.

My notifications were flooded with texts and calls from my Mom. I never went home last night and I know she is probably freaking out.

"Oh shit" I yell picking up my discarded sweatshirt I had taken off in the night as well as my car keys.

"Thanks so much for last night but I need to go home before mother kills me." I ramble making him chuckle.

"You're an idiot you know that?" He questions turning around to watch me walk out of the door.

I smile at him before giving him a thank you for last night. He gives me a cute smile back before I run out of the house.

I needed to leave for school in about 15 minutes which gives me about 5 minutes once I get home. And then I would spend about 3 of those minutes getting lectured before getting lectured on not being ready in time for school. Mom would probably drive Annie to school today giving me a little more time to get ready.

I knew I was rambling in my head but it was a lot easier than letting myself overthink about last night.

When I finally pulled into the house after going over the speed limit the whole drive I sprinted inside to be met with a scary looking woman.

She was glaring at me making me want to shrink back out to the car and go back to Delems.

I mean being with Clay right now would be much better than this.

"I'm so sorry Mom I had a really bad night and I should of called bu-"

"Save it. Go get changed right now we'll talk when you get home from school. No clubs today." She sternly spoke making shivers run down my spine. This woman scared me more than anything when she was mad. Normally Dad can calm her down and stop her from murdering us but he isn't here to do that so I don't know what will.

I nod my head running up the stairs to throw on new clothes. I kind of stunk so I changed everything and put some product in my hair to make it less greasy. I brushed my teeth and hair before I was ready to go to school.

I grabbed my bag and my phone which was dying before heading out to my car.

"Nope I'm driving you." My Mom calls making me hand her the keys.
