Planning And A Party

(Y/N POV)

I woke up to loud pangs off the glass. I sprung up to see the other girls getting ready for the day. I stood up and groggily walked over to my window.

It was still dreadful outside. The past 6 days there has been an everlasting snowstorm. Anything from loud hail pounding down onto the castle, or wicked winds mixed with heavy snow fall that practically blinded anyone who walked outside of the castle walls.

It was also quite cold inside, considering how old the castle was. It didn't have great insulation, which lead to most students taking refuge in groups by fireplaces around the castle.

Remus and I had been keeping our new status under wraps. We were trying to come up with a way to tell the guys and even Lily, in a casual way that didn't cause a whole commotion.

Even though it was hard to get up with such bad weather, I was excited for new year's eve. It was the last night of the holiday break and I would make the most of it before classes were back in session. So I walked over to my wardrobe and got out my clothes for the day.

After I had gotten dressed I looked around the room. All of the girls were just relaxing under blankets to keep warm. I thought telling them about Remus and I now, would be better than later.

"Hey guys, can I tell you something?" I said wearily.

"Yea what is it?" Marlene asked as the others focused in on me.

"Ok, so.... RemusandIarekindadatingnowanditsnotabigdealsodontfreakout". I said as fast as I could trying to get it over with.

They only smiled at me with appeased expressions on their faces.

"As the prophecy foretold". Mary said sarcastically.

"There really was no escape from your destiny". Lily added with a laugh.

I was shocked at how calm they were, like they were expecting it. I thought they might start cheering so loud that beauxbatons might hear them.

"We're happy for you y/n, you two are perfect for each other". Molly reassured me.

I only smiled at them sheepishly, maybe my crush on him was very obvious.

"Make sure you don't say anything to the guys, they don't know yet". I stated, as the girls only raised their eyebrows at me.

"Ok, but make sure you tell them soon or else they'll get offended that you didn't sooner". Marlene heeded as I nodded my head.

"Well um, i'm gonna go find them now". I said standing up and walking towards the door.

Before the door closed behind me I heard Lily yell to me from the dorm. "MAKE SURE YOU USE PROTECTION".

I face palmed as I walked down the stairs to the common room, hoping no one had heard her kind comment.

I reached the bottom of the stairs and I could see the others including Remus sitting on the couch close by the fire.

I walked over and sat next to Remus, not too close in order not to cause suspicion.

While the others were distracted I made eye contact with Remus. I cocked my head towards they guys while raising my eyebrows. Trying to signal that we should tell them now. He sighed as he spoke.

"Hey guys, we have to tell you all something".

The guys went quiet. They looked very suspicious of us.

"Remus and I are dating". I blurted out trying to rip off the bandaid.

There was a moment of silence, before an explosion of their happiness.
