"Cheers to you and your sixteen years, beautiful." Said my boyfriend, Johnny Cade. I smiled as we clinked our milkshake glasses together and took a sip.

It was my sixteenth birthday today and just like any other birthday, I didn't think of it as anything special. But ever since I met Johnny, things have been real different.

"I'm sorry I could only take you out to the DQ." He said.

"Don't worry, Johnny. You already make my birthday special and that's more than enough." I said.

We talked like usual until we finished our milkshakes. We left the DQ and went to find something fun to do.

Eventually we stopped by the park and it was pretty quiet. The sun wasn't shining too hard and the grass was greener than ever. I had the brilliant idea to teach Johnny how to do some gymnastics.

"It ain't that hard, just lift up your chest and..." I spun around and landed right back at my feet. "There."

"Okay, lift my chest and..." He tries to do a cartwheel then falls back. "Ta-daaa." He said. I laugh at him and help him get up. "Told you I could do it." He said.

"Sure ya did, hon." I said, cleaning off the grass from his jacket.

I looked around while I was figuring out what else to do until I saw a cat.

"Oh my god, a cat." I said, slowly walking up to it as Johnny walked up to me. I got the cats attention and started petting it. "Aww look at it!" I said, putting the cat in Johnny's face. He slightly moved away.

"I can see that, Y/n." He said. He pets the cat too. We sit on the grass of the park, petting the cat and just talking like always.

We never get bored with each other. Ever. There's always somethin' new to talk about and sometimes we have small recaps of what we've talk about before at random times.

"Hey I saved a snack for the sunset." Said Johnny as he pulled out a bag of chips. "You're a life saver." I said, taking the chips off his hands. I opened the bag of chips while he sat down next to me.

We watch the sunset like we always do every evening. He lays his head on my shoulder as I put mine on his head. We sat against a tree, just enjoying the view.

"Happy birthday, princess" He said.

"Thank you, my milkshake." I replied. He chuckled. "Your milkshake?"

"Yeah my milkshake, I can't live without milkshakes just like how I can't without you, so you're my milkshake. Just go along with it." I said as we laugh.

"Whatever you say, gorgeous."
