JOHNNY'S POV •

"Hey, there's Y/n."

Dallas looked to where I pointed.

"Yeah, so?" He questioned. "You know, I told you." I said. "You did? Tell me what?"

I sighed. "I've been wanting to ask her out for a while now. Most of our classes are together and when it's working in pairs, we usually get together." I said.

"Oh that. Yeah. Well, go ask her." He said.

"What? No! Not right now. She's with her friends. I don't want to get rejected in front of her friends." I said. "Maybe I'll talk to her when she's walking home."

I look back at Dally and he's already got some girl all over him.

I looked away and ignore them and tried think about what I should say to Y/n and how.

Y/n's is super smart, kind and only rude to people who hurt her and/or her friends. She's probably every teachers favorite student because of how smart and kind she is to the teachers in school.

I remember one time, Bob Sheldon asked her out although he's dating someone but she refused and then Bob said something mean to her and she had the most amazing comeback I've heard.

I then saw Y/n, saying her farewells to her friends and walking away.

"That's my cue." I said, "I'll see you later." I said to Dallas. The girl he was with was gone, he probably said something offensive again.

"Yeah I'll see you." He said.

I walked away and ran up to Y/n, sort of scaring her.

"Oh my god, you scared me." She said.

I giggled. "I did?" "Yes. I get scared easily, but I don't entirely show it. I just feel my soul leave my body and come back." She said.

"We that's another way to explain the feeling of fear." I said, making her laugh.

"So how's it been?" I asked, starting off smooth.

"I've been getting sick quite easily lately. I'm fine now but, I can't stay too long in the cold." She said. "That explains why you haven't been in school." I said.

"Yeah. What about you?" She asked.

"What about me? I'm doing great, I get way to tired in the day easily though." I said, making her laugh again. "That explains why you always sleep in class." She said.

"Yeah..." I said.

"Y/n?" "Mhm?" She hummed.

"Are we friends or...?" I asked. "Well of course we're friends, Johnny. I thought it's pretty obvious by now." She said.

I chuckle. "Yeah I guess it is. Can I ask you something?" "Sure." She said.

I quietly took a deep breath.

"Would you consider--" I got cut of by her saying,

"Jack!" She exclaimed. She wasn't looking at me, she was looking at the guy walking towards us.

"Hey Greenie." The boy called 'Jack' said. "Greenie?" I asked.

"Oh yeah he call me that because it's his favorite color and he loves green very much. Just like how he loves me." She said, wrapping her arms around his neck as he wraps his around her waist.

I was lost at words. I've never seen them together my entire life or even seen the man.

"What was it you wanted to say?" She asked, facing me.

"Oh just umm. I was wondering if you could umm... Do most of the project since I've been a bit busy lately." I said.

"Oh of course. Don't worry about it, Johnny." She said.

"Yeah..." I sighed. "Well, I should get going. I'll see you tomorrow." I said and ran off.

While walking off, I said to myself in my head.

"She ain't into you man, she never was."
