"Good diddly morning, boys!"

"Fuck off, Y/n." Said Sodapop. "Negativity makes you ugly. Oh, too late!" I said. He rolled his eyes at me and I sat down next to him on the couch.

"Any plans today?" I asked him.

"I'm free today. What're you thinking to do?"

"Well I--" I then got cut off by Darry.

"You'll be doing many things but Sodapop and Ponyboy has chores to do today." He said. "Sodapop can go but Ponyboy's staying to do his homework."

"Okay, dad. Right then, I'll see you after. I'm gonna go wake up Dallas now." I said, about to leave.

"Careful, I think his horns are out. He just broke up with Sylvia. I don't know why but he's a bit depressed about it." Said Sodapop.

"I'll be fine." And with that I left to wake up Dallas.

"Hey Buck. Dallas upstairs?" I asked Buck. "Yeah, he's in a mood. Might wanna be careful." He said.

I ran upstairs and got to his room.

"Wake up, single man!" I said, sitting on his bed.

"Can you get the fuck out, Y/n?" He murmured.

"Oh, no thanks." I said. He grunts and faces the other way.

"C'mon Dally. Heartbreaker doesn't feel heartbreaks, they make em'." I said. "Get up, don't be such a baby about it. She cheated on you 5 times already. You should've seen it comin'."

"Don't you have someone else to bother?"

"I wish I did but Two-Bit is out of town and Steve took an extra shift to work. I've already bothered the Curtis'." I said.

"Johnny?" He said. "He lives with me. Don't you remember?" "Right. Just, leave me alone."

"Fine. I was gonna ask if you wanted to make her jealous but, oh well. I'm going back home." I said, about to leave.

"Wait! I'll take that offer." He said. "Then let's go! I'm not gonna wait up all day." I said.

"Your eyes." I said. "What? They're dreamy? Oh, I know."

"No. They completely lost their dreamy-ness. It's dark and puffy. Did you really cry that hard?" I said, holding my laughter.

"Just-- shut up." He said, rubbing his eyes.

We then got to the counter, we got some food and sat down at a booth.

"So what's your plan?" I asked. "I just suggested if you wanted to make her jealous 'cause I was bored."

"Well just simple stuff, we do couple stuff whenever she's around." He said. "She might just show up here, I mean it's her favorite spot."

"Don't she have a man?" "I don't know but even if she did, she'd still give me a death glare if I'm with some other broad." He said.

"Okay, then we'll just wait."

And then a few long minutes later, Sylvia came in the Dingo. No man. Just her and her friends.

"Oh, there she is. Sit next to me. Here let's just share my milkshake. Pretend to laugh too." He said. I quickly did what he told me to do.

"Here." He said, handing me the milkshake for me to take a sip. I took drank it while he holds the cup, it makes me want to laugh.

"Is she looking?" I said, looking back to where she is. "She did. Just for a while." He said.

"Wait okay. Laugh. Like just laugh or giggle." He said. "Tell a joke, I can't just laugh." "Uhh, yes you can. You've done it many times before. Randomly. In serious situations."

"Well I can't just be told to laugh." I said.

"You're already smiling." He said, also smiling. I then randomly burst out laughing and so does Dally.

A bunch of people noticed us laughing quite loudly but ignored. Sylvia was the one to give us a death stare.

"She's finally looking!" I whisper-shouted.

"C'mon, keep making her jealous until she wants to leave." He said.

"What do we do?" I ask. "Gimme a kiss." He said and I kissed him on the cheek. I look back at Sylvia. "That didn't do anything."

"Not on the cheek." He said then kissed me. I just went along with it until Two-Bit scared us.

"Hey Romeo and Juliet!" He said, making us jump. "Jesus Two, you could've given us a better 'im back from out of town'?" I said.

"What're you two doing?" He said, on the other side of the booth, looking at us both, resting his head on his hand.

"Trying to make Sylvia jealous." I said. "By kissing each other?"

"He kissed me. I just kissed him on the cheek 'cause he only said 'kiss me'." I said.

"Oh well, whatever. She left already while y'all were having your make out session." He said. "She did? Yes! Mission Accomplished." I said and high fived Dallas.

"Have you seen the guys already?" I asked Two. "No not yet. I wanted to but I saw you two." He said.

"Well let's just go there together." I said.
