Tulsa, Oklahoma. All over town in Two's car.
Saturday, 1966.

"One, two, three!"
"Why is your truck so damn heavy?" I complained, pushing the truck to give it a jump start.
My boyfriend, Keith, and I wanted to go camp outside of town since its summer break and we both got nothing better to do. So, why not try something new? Well, maybe new for me. Keith's done this multiple times with his folks and buddies. Something he's really passionate in, I guess.
We drove off. We had bags packed with snacks, extra clothes, a first aid kit, games, our flashlights, a tent and obviously water.
"I can't wait till' you see how pretty the place is. It's all quiet and peaceful. Man, listening to the sounds of nature just makes you wanna sleep all day!"
"I can't wait too, baby. You sure it's safe though right?" I asked, making sure nothing bad is gonna happen in the middle of the night.
Keith took my hand and gave me a kiss, keeping his other hand on the wheel.
"Trust me, hon. The worst that could happen is you get eaten by a bear." He said, messing with my head.
"Oh, shut up! I am serious! I'm gone jump out this car if you mess around with me like that!" I shouted.
He laughs after successfully teasing me and holds my hand tighter.
"Cmon baby, you know I'm playin'! Trust me, everything's gonna be just fine. I will always be there with ya." He said calmly whilst giving my hand a kiss.
His sweet gesture never fails to make me flustered and smile.
"Thank you, baby. I love you." I said.
"You know I love you too." He replies.

I felt the truck engine stop moving which woke me up from my nap. I wipe my eyes to see Keith taking off his seatbelt and fixin' his hair in the rearview mirror.
I sat up straight and looked out the window. Golly, it was one hell of a view.
"Hey baby, we're here." Keith said softly, noticing I was awake.
Bright green grass, by a lake with a waterfall. Tall trees, not too much so just the perfect amount of sunlight can beam through the leaves.
"This place is unreal! Where the hell did you find somethin' like this?" I said, still admiring the view from the window.
"You know me baby, I love exploring." He replies.
"Come on now, let's go get everything set up before it gets dark so we can see the sunset." He said as he got out of the truck and started to unload our stuff from the back.
I got out the truck and took a deep breath of fresh air. It felt so clear and refreshing. I had never known i needed something like this before.
"Baby I need some help here!" I hear Keith's struggling voice from afar, carrying our bags. I immediately rush to help him.

"Man, I am stuffed!" Said Keith after devouring his dinner.
I giggled looking at him with his bloated belly out in the opened as I looked up at the sky and started to see hues of red and orange from the sun setting. He cracked another beer open and started to enjoy the fire we had made to keep warm and cook.
With him distracted with his own business, I went to the truck and climbed on to the trunk. I started to watch the sunset while lying down in his truck.
Keith then got up and followed me. He rests his arms on the truck, leaning his body towards it while he looks at me lying down with a smile on his face.
"You should've told me about this place sooner, maybe then I could be less crazy." I said to him, making him chuckle.
"You know you're sexy when you are crazy though." He said as he jumps in the trunk with me.
He snuggles up next to me and puts his arm around me.
"I'm really glad to have you in my life." I said.
"If anything, I should be the one who's glad. I mean, look at you. You made me a better person. Someone I didn't think I'd ever be." He said as he plays with my hair.
We sit in silence for a little bit until I broke the silence.
"Hey, I think I got a pack of smokes in the car. Gimme a minute." He said, getting inside the car.
"I knew somethin' was missing!" I said as we both laugh.
He came out and gave me the pack. He already had one in his mouth. I put one in my mouth and he light it up.
He came back up on the car and we just sat and enjoyed the view.
"Getting away from everything feels good." I said.
"Sure does. Especially with you." He replies.
"Of course, especially with me. Without me, it won't feel good."
"You damn right." He chuckled.
